    Crispy Doom 6.0 (Update: Mar 31, 2023)

extras.wad is included in the 2019 release MD5: 38e1bb6cdd1e4227eef13d22f6e35209 SHA-1: 0f2a7139b640e19a08f384562f907cb0734b0512 It includes some sprites which are displayed on the map. It also includes pictures of weapons which are displayed when you use weapon up or down. Lastly, it contains an audio file called DSSECRET. I assume they were going to use this as the sound played when a secret is found, but it doesn't look like that was implemented. They might be using it elsewhere, but I haven't played it enough to know where.

    Crispy Doom 6.0 (Update: Mar 31, 2023)

@fabian have you considered using any of the assets in extras.wad (included in 2019)?

    Crispy Doom 6.0 (Update: Mar 31, 2023)

I like this idea. Useful for people who only have the individual level wads.

    Crispy Doom 6.0 (Update: Mar 31, 2023)

Has anyone noticed any issues with g-sync in Crispy? It seldom works for me in Crispy using default config. It seems to work all the time with Choco.

    Crispy Doom 6.0 (Update: Mar 31, 2023)

In DOOM II 2019, you are given the option of selecting The Master Levels when starting a new game. I was not able to find the graphic lump in the IWAD, so I am not sure how this was accomplished. As for specific skies, music and par times, they are the same as the level they replace. Here's some more info on level progression in the various versions: https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Master_Levels_for_Doom_II#Level_progression

    Crispy Doom 6.0 (Update: Mar 31, 2023)

Congrats on the release. Rather than asking this on github, I figured I'd ask here first. What are your thoughts on adding support for MASTERLEVELS.WAD so that if the wad exists in the same folder as DOOM2.WAD, it is auto-loaded, and is shown as an additional episode (similar to NRTFL)?

    NRFTL checksum

I have seen 2 different versions of NRFTL floating around. Their md5sums are as follows: 967d5ae23daf45196212ae1b605da3b0 4f47bb32bf5fd06bc1cc0b4a2e8e3910 I own PSN Classic Complete, PS3 BFG Edition, XBLA, Xbox 360 BFG Edition and the PC BFG Edition. NERVE.WAD and Nerve_demo.wad MD5 from every version I own is 967d5ae23daf45196212ae1b605da3b0. I noticed the 4f47bb32bf5fd06bc1cc0b4a2e8e3910 version floating around has an added MAPINFO. The filename for this version is NRFTL+.wad. Does anyone know if this is just a hacked/non-official updated version?

    NRFTL checksum

Thanks! I saw that, but wanted to check with the community just to be sure.
  10. Is the buckethead soundtrack playable in game, or is it completely separate?

    Crispy Doom 6.0 (Update: Mar 31, 2023)

Will Crispy Doom eventually support looping native midi properly? Right now when a song ends it play the song over from the start. I also noticed that when a song starts, there is an obvious hiccup.

    Crispy Doom 6.0 (Update: Mar 31, 2023)

testing with the arch vile in doom2 map11, sometimes the flames are not displayed at all and sometimes they are barely/faintly displayed. i replicated this with 60, 70 and uncapped fps. 35 fps has no issues. interestingly enough, i tested this with a different arch vile, and did not experience the same issue.

    Crispy Doom 6.0 (Update: Mar 31, 2023)

i noticed that if you change the framerate, the arch vile's attack doesn't display properly.
