Hi there! I used to play a wad called H2H Xmas doom wad when it first came out religiously (I dunno, I'm a geek, but I loved it.) It kinda became a holiday tradition that around christmas time, I would install it on my computer. But, now I have a slight problem. I purchased a new computer (pentium 4, 1.4 ghz) running with Windows ME. I recently purchased Id Software's new Doom package that is compatible with Windows ME. Do you guys think H2H Xmas Doom will install properly on my computer without causing any problems? I think I remember having a problem when I did an autoexe.bat override on a previous system, but then again that was years ago, and I may be mistaken; i just remember something caused a fudge-up in my computer, thus making me have to do a reformat. Any insight you can give me would be much appreciated! -Fink

Ok, I just downloaded the Doom II 95 shareware from Id Software (I really don't want to mess around with patching my old full version, all I really want to do is add some .wads.) Now, last time I did this, I had problems with my Windows 98 system after the installation of Doom II 95. Is there anything special I need to do this time to get it working correctly without causing any problems with my system? P.S. There real reason I'm doing this is because a tradition of mine is to play H2H-Xmas Doom II during the holiday season!

I bought Doom II when it first was released (I can't remember the year.) That was three computers ago, when I was running it on a 486. Now, I have a Pentium III 550mhz machine running with Windows 98. I tried getting Doom to work on my previous Pentium III, but it caused problems with the PC and had to be deleted. How can I get Doom II to work on my new computer, without any problems? Here, let me give you a couple stats on my system, if that would help. Pentium III at 550mhz Windows 98 32 Meg 3d Blaster Annihilator 2 GTS Any help would be much appreciated!!
