I don't know how many posts I need to qualify for this, but I'd LOVE to see my avatar "fish-ified."

Mine comes from the ironclad ship that defeated the CSS Virginia at Hampton Roads, and saved the Northern navy in 1862, during the American Civil War (United States vs. Confederate States). I liked the name, and have established that. And, by the way: USS Monitor (right) vs. CSS Virginia (left).

Seems like quite a bit, does it not? And why exactly is it yellow? Is it REALLY made of cheese like people used to think? If so, then that may explain it's strange shape. -

That's right, and what could be cooler than a gun that shoots chainsaws? A chainsaw that shoots bullets, maybe? -

This was me playing the Unloved 2 Beta... Notice the SPAS-12 I'm using, and that the imps I use here have no eyes, how appropriate for a mod like this! I would love to see this finished. Also note the black caco in the background. -

Hey, everyone, I'm not dead, just unconcerned, heh... Anyway, check this out! This was the first time I ever saw anything like this. These two barons are fighting each other, but I was looking away, so I never saw how it started. Do you think one of their wives was cheating on them with the other? -
Doom2 Meets Zdoom(d2mzd) WIP -- (a doom2 remake wad)-- 14 map demo release!
The Monitor replied to Unholypimpin's topic in WAD Releases & Development
Excuse me, everyone, I don't know if this has been touched on before, but I'm too lazy to be bothered to find it myself. Anyway, I did this: I used the rock faces at the walls to get up there, maybe the fence should actually be impassible? Otherwise, it's pretty alright of a mod. -

Hey, everyone! Still on PL2, MAP16, but I did beat MAP31 and MAP32, by the way, thanks Memfis! I hope to beat this by tomorrow. Working my way slowly through MAP16. I'll update soon. -

Hey, everybody, still on Plutonia 2. Anyway: Any help as to what this is? Thanks! By the way, I can see that it is a letter, the letter G, more specifically. -

To Mechadon: I have yet to play MAP05, but MAP01 is pretty perfect, I think. I'll get to MAP05 after I beat Plutonia 2 and Plutonia: Revisited. Anyway, I'm playing Plutonia 2, since I beat Plutonia 1 not 30 minutes before this. I hope to have PL2 beat by Wednesday or Thursday, then I'll tackle Plutonia: Revisited. -
What do you think are the best Final Doom levels?
The Monitor replied to hardcore_gamer's topic in Doom General
I have no favorites for Evilution. However, since I have beat Plutonia not 5 minutes before this post, I'd say my favorites are Hunted, Go 2 It, The Sewers, and The Odyssey of Noises. -

I liked it, although, in the beta that I have, the Blue Card battle in MAP02 was a little unfair to me, I barely scraped past it after I rocket jumped from the pit. May I suggest removing the Cyber there? I liked the wad otherwise. -

Yep, technically, I haven't even really tried MAP05, I can't run GZDoom with it, so I'll try in ZDoom soon. Anyway, check this out: MAP04 of Plutonia, the right slime pool at the yellow door; I found this during my second real stab at beating Plutonia, which I hope to do by Friday. EDIT: I forgot to mention, but could someone just sort of annouce it when Vela Pax is complete? I'd appreciate it! -
I'm not sure if this has been touched on here, but whatever. The BFG and Plasma projectiles have the same speed, but the rocket is slower, and the player can outrun the rocket if done right.

I need to say something, two things, actually. One: Thank you, KiiiYiiiKiiiA, and Two: The map in those screens is not mine, it is actually found somewhere else on the forums. It has 3 maps: MAP01, MAP02, and MAP05, I'll post some screens of MAP02 and MAP05 soon. -
I decided a few months ago to make a Half-Life based wad. Using resources from Paranoia.wad, I present to you, Reissues! I hope you like the way this looks, as I may decide to continue this. Screenie 1: http://i49.tinypic.com/2yn2hc0.png Ventilation shafts. Screenie 2: http://i49.tinypic.com/2wm2fyq.png I present to you, invisible imps! Screenie 3: http://i49.tinypic.com/2i6jg3n.png An outside area, note the fog and dead flying imps. Anyway, I am working on MAP02, and hope you like this. EDIT: I forgot to mention this, but I would like some constructive criticism (in other words, I want you to tell me how to improve this). VERY IMPORTANT! Since construction on this is slow, I've put Reissues on hold until I can get back to work on it.

*Groan* To EVERY visitor, please refer to my first post here. Construction on Reissues has been slowed due to school and other things. So, I may not update this for a while.

If Doom was done today (Part 2)
The Monitor replied to Chubzdoomer's topic in WAD Releases & Development
Anyone found the secret in the main menu map yet? I loved it, what a great Black Ops parody. Good job, man. Also: -
Yeah, I remember that. Frankly, I thought it wasn't too bad. Besides, my wad only has Half-Life weapons and textures, the monsters are all from Doom. So, I can't say mine is a true "Half-Life based" wad.

Rough number of known Doom WADs?
The Monitor replied to princetontiger's topic in WAD Releases & Development
I'd say 20,000 - 50,000. I only really know for sure of about 2500, and I have about 1000 of those on my computer. -
Concealed In Darkness (void wad)
The Monitor replied to Unholypimpin's topic in WAD Releases & Development
Looks pretty good to me. I think (if you haven't put this in yet) that maybe you could have the Stone Imp or something like it. -
I'm not so sure, either, I saw a "slaughter map" with about 125 monsters in it or something, so I have no idea. I think they refer to the challenges proposed by these rooms, or maybe the amount of monsters, or both. To be brutally honest, I don't like slaughter maps. My definition of a slaughter map is the player is pitted against many monsters at once, usually with powerful weapons at their disposal. Some maps I see have 1000+ monsters, but are really long and are a lot more possible along my lines. However, that doesn't say they all suck, I'm just not too fond of them.

To Dawn111: http://www.mediafire.com/?c6cerf4n86o0cu0 Here you go, buddy. EDIT: Well, I googled Doom Vercetti 1.7 and that's what I got. -
Maybe you could refer to Demon Defense, since it uses a script like that, I'm sure. There's a link to it on the "If Doom Was Made Today" thread.

Maybe the fellas that made the Hi-Res textures for Doom 1 and 2 will make it, or maybe they're already making it.
