Another video for "Roofi plays his own maps" series. This one is about "Spyro Stellar's Base", my first ambitious map and maybe my strangest release, made in 2016. It doesn't even figure on my Doomwiki's page since it's a map for Chex 1.

Honestly, I still don't know why I made this , I've so many questions about it :

Why did I decide to spend 2-3 months making a huge Chex map?

How did I not lose the motivation making it?

Why did I decide to put Spyro images everywhere?

No real corrections were ever made to this map because the few feedback were disappointing, so I gave up and moved on. Nevertheless, with hindsight, I'm extremely proud to have created this map and it illustrates the overflowing imagination and non-perfectionism that a novice mapper can have.

That map is so long and complicated that rediscovering it was a pure moment of joy for me. Spyro's Stellar Base is no more , no less that a deeply flawed exploration map which can have some charm.

This map will always be a mystery for me.

I spent the whole Saturday night recording a 100% longplay on Epic 2. I was exhausted at the end haha.
