    Stronghold does have multiple planets you can visit. I strongly recommend it, it's tons of fun.
  3. Question is in the title. I prefer to use them in a nook, looks more polished and can aid in variety for me. I don't think I've come across very many mods and WADs that just use the switches on the texture.

    Revolution actually had that feel, most levels lead from one to another. By the end, it's hard to believe your journey started by a train.

    That's a point. If I am allowed to release it as long as the original is provided, then that might be the best course of action. As for the second option, I would say it's a no go, since getting a specific version just for one mod is kinda moot.

    I tried that as well but he's been inactive on there more or less the same time he's been inactive on here. The problem is, I've actually made the update already with 3D floors and bugs fixed but the file states that I can not release it as a modification. Though the sole exception was of course, if there are bugs. But it would require him having it. Plus it had a minor remaster aspect of it withthe 3D floors and all.

    While usually the case, I've seen a few that don't. Examples are Hell Revealed (What a surprise), Community Chest 2 (Courtesy of Mucus Flow being the toughest), Going Down and Revolution.

    RayForce was originally meant to be titled Layer Section for the arcades as well. Shame, Layer Section sounds cooler. Rick Taylor from Splatterhouse 1 resembles Jason Voorhees. Crash Bandicoot was almost called Willy Wombat.

    Updated link. Only a couple of minor bugfixes but still irritating nontheless. Here's hoping this will be the final update, for sure.
  14. Hiya guys, so as some of you may know, Batandy has released a remastered version of Golden Souls, implementing my maps in to the main mod as well. With some of the changes that Super Golden Souls has, I see very little need to update this for the future. So this will be a legacy addon for Golden Souls 1 original. I want to thank you all for showing support for my addon, you're the best! Legacy Post Below: Hi guys. I am working on an addon for the original Golden Souls as a massive labour of love for the Golden Souls series and of course, to celebrate the fact that there will be a Golden Souls 3. There are a few changes to the mod, big coins are now required to fully complete the mod so find them all! A couple of requirements to access other areas are a little different as well. Introducing another feature, an air meter, yes, now you can keep track of how much air you have left, and as a neat bonus for it, it'll only activate when you're underwater. The shop system is minorly changed as you now can by seperate ammo instead of having to buy the whole set, but I kept the original ammo purchase as it seemed quite fitting to buy the lot for a bit of a discount. :D And now as for the levels... Some levels have been tweaked slightly as to make it slightly less frustrating. And some levels even have big coins added to them. As for a real interesting feature, the garden part of the mansion now has a few of levels fo you to tackle! Made by myself and tested by both myself and Batandy. And the star area now has 4 main levels as originally intended, including the legendary Astral Temple which Batandy found recently and let me finish up! I aimed to make the addon have the same spirit that the original Golden Souls had. Still want the original flavour of GS1? Well this mod is intended to be loaded with Golden Souls so it's an optional addon.     I'm the developer of Super Golden Souls. While it WILL be compatible for SGS, it doesn't have the readjusted coin drops, so every monster will still drop 1 coin like GS1. Moreover, SGS has a couple of new bosses so it might not be balanced for Bluemoss' addon.

    What were the first three PWADs you downloaded?

    2004 was the first time I downloaded a WAD but honestly, they were random crap. I started my WAD collection in 2005, one of them was UAC Base, which is pretty good. Another was some UAC base styled map, but the standout of my first 3...UAC_Dead. Loved it then, still love it now.

  23. Hey guys! Decided to make a small addon for Golden Souls 2, it's a warp zone, influenced by Super Mario World's Star World, just minus the world skipping shortcuts. Speaking of shortcuts, there are now shortcuts on the world map that allow you to go back to a previous world. Also note, there are no level skipping shortcuts added. And for another Super Mario World influenced addition: These are the red dots for the world map. Like the red dots, any level with these mark that a map has more than 1 exit. Lemme know if you have suggestions or pointers! Happy coin collecting! Note: This must be loaded after Golden Souls 2. Improved the dialogue on the warp zone along with some world renaming to keep it consistent with how the worlds are named in the main mod.
