Just when you thought there's no more to be revealed Hell is there to prove you wrong once again. The final stretch of Hell Revealations features, as you might expect, even more monster-filled maps than previously and a few more Hell Revealed homages as well. A lot of care was put into making the whole megawad suitable not only for coop but also ZDaemon specifically, as shown by MAP30's unique mechanic being made compatible with ZDaemon by none other than worst-vd-plas, one of the people who brought TNS into existence! Onto the middle part of the wad which reveals a few of the first monster-populous maps. Some maps in the first third were already quite rough with the multiplayer monsters and it sure isn't getting milder now so I hope you'll come prepared! While we played most of Ad Mortem last year it turned out the wad was not quite finished yet. Saturnia is a Plutonia-inspired episode featuring monsters in low numbers but often diabolically arranged in ways to still provide a sizable challenge. An extremely unique feature of the wad is that the skills are essentially switched to create a more friendly Nightmare giving us the historic first TNS session starting with a difficulty lower than Ultra-Violence! 1 Fast Fight is a 10+2 map episode with a quite unique concept true to its name - the maps are essentially one room fights of varying sizes but always with an unrelenting presence of monsters forcing you to keep moving to stay safe. The wad also features the exceptional gimmick of halving the health of all monsters so come claim your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to feel the satisfaction of killing a revenant in one SSG shot or an archvile in two! The dark and atmospheric screenshots don't lie - we're in for an early Halloween TNS session. That might come with the by now familiar additions of Dutch origin but this time with a Spanish name that should send shivers down your spine looming over it. After successfully following the advice to not down your piňa colada we're back to take the final sip of this 24-map megawad with a hard limit of a maximum of 75 monsters per map (which doesn't include multiplayer-only monsters, however). Despite the modest monster counts you can look forward to a few evil traps among some more casual gameplay, overall making for quite a challenging experience! After 2 weeks of Nostalgia 2 by myolden we immediately follow up with a community project megawad that just so happens to be led by him. If you'd expect that to bring similar maps, at least in concept, you would not be entirely mistaken but this time there's an abundance of custom textures and skies, the limit of max 75 monsters per map and perhaps most importantly, pistol starts! Finishing up what we started a week ago. The monster counts don't change much but the difficulty does increase in the latter part of the wad. While not overly difficult, the gameplay is quite trap-oriented and almost all maps have the occasional archvile or two to keep you on your toes! ichinichi is a megawad of maps with varying themes each made within 24 hours and appropriately named after the Japanese term meaning "one day". The word can also be translated as "the first day of the month", "daytime", "a short period of time" or "an unspecified day", which in a typical TNS fashion we're going to honor by splitting the wad into 2 days (a week apart) and play the first half on the last day of the month during the whole night of a quite specific day - today! Limit Buffet offers a collection of tasty maps where not only the maps themselves but also all the music tracks follow very specific limits. Ranging from well known to completely novel and insane, the full list of the limits is way too long to include here but I highly recommended checking it out in the Doomworld thread. Not only will you know what you're getting into, it provides quite an entertainment value on its own! Embarking on an eldritch voyage to go through maps mostly featuring abandoned buildings in the middle of a jungle and as the title suggests, some Lovecraftian ambiance. And while the surroundings may look mysterious, the demonic inhabitants don't exploit this to go into hiding and you can look forward to some action-packed gameplay!
