Holy cow! If this is true than we’ve entered a paradigm shift. A new age. A new dawn.

Fortunately  for me I have been able to work my full time job during these strange days. It’s considered an essential service. When I’m not working I’m gaming, reading, writing. Not much has changed for me, at least.

Doom Eternal is a monumental entry in the long-lived FPS series. It's amazing that twenty seven years later, Doom is still going strong. And I expect it to continue! Congrats to Marty and Hugo and everyone at id software. You guys crafted something special. Nice moves! Keep it up. Proud of you.

Most likely it will never happen, but I would love to see a return the original Quake. Either a direct sequel to the Lovecraftian plot or a 'reimagining' of the original game. Kind of like how we have Doom and Wolfenstein in the modern age.

For a moment I thought this was a GoatLord thread, as it turns out, that it not the case. Am disappoint.

Doom Eternal took everything I loved about Doom 2016 and pumped massive doses of adrenaline into it.They're both tremendous games! Doom Eternal is the way to go now and I am very happy with that.

I don't play much classic Doom these days as I feel I'm getting burnt out on it (Been Dooming since '93 lol) so it's expected. I still play Doom 64 pretty religiously as well as the new fangled Doom games. Although I think it's time for a break and maybe focus on another series for awhile.

It's a nice thought, but i sincerely doubt it will ever happen. And even if it did, even if they did make a new Doom game, the community will never accept it. They will just pout about it and say it's not a 'real' Doom game. "It's just another NuDoom lol omfg".

The op is such a flaky person. First he goes and makes this grand thread announcing that on March 31 he would be getting Doom Eternal. We, as a community, rejoiced. A celebration was planned, there was going to be a lineup of fantastic speeches and so fourth. And guess what. He announced that instead of March 31st, he would be getting Doom Eternal on April 30. Just like that. No explanation. Nothing. We were betrayed. I don't know what to believe anymore. My heart bleeds.
