    Skulltag Progress Thread

It has been quite a while since I visited this forum. Looks like there will be a lot of bots when things go right. I guess I should check out if the newest Skull Tag comes complete with bots... those botmatches used to be great, a larger number of those would be considered to be a good thing by me.

Ah! New maps, new bots, new possibilities. I for one eagerly await this new version. Let us all be thankfull to the creative beings who were so kind to give us this piece of interactive art. On your knees, infidel!

    Skulltag Progress Thread

A happy new year, everybody! And now for something completely different. I was wondering how many bots there will be available in the final version (if there will ever be such a thing) of Skull Tag. And will it be possible to play Skull Tag with other deathmatch wads without being disturbed by 'flashing' textures. Of course I'm referring to the gothic-wads, which could be great in combination with Skull Tag if they were completely compatible. And yes, I like the gothic-wads. Too bad that I can't get Zdaemon running anymore, it has been a while since I played online. Force=Machine, Nanhold

    Welcome to Skulltag! FAQ

The beforementioned glitch concerning the flashing textures does happen in wads which make use of many new (by which I mean not originally available in classic Doom II) textures. The gothicdm.wad en gothic2.wad use many textures from Heretic and the first Quake, which really helps in giving these wads their dark and desolate feel. Since Skull Tag simply has the best and most original bots, I really want to be able to play these maps glitch-free in Skull Tag. Nanhold

    Welcome to Skulltag! FAQ

Skull Tag seems to be alive & killing again. That's good. Skull Tag can also be used with other deathmatch-wads, for example the 'Dwango'-series. But with some wads, like the two 'Gothic'-deathmatch maps, there seems to be a strange glitch. Some of the textures on the walls in gothicdm.wad and gothic2.wad are doing rather weird things when opened in Skull Tag. They start flashing. To be more precise, some sectors in the architecture start cycling (rather rapidly) various textures. When opened normally, this effect is absent in these wads. It seems to be a typical Skull Tag-glitch. Is there a solution to this side-effect? Nanhold
