No offense, but there are a million "convert mp3 to mid/mus" threads and people still don't seem to understand that these 2 formats are as different to each other as chickens are to road signs, and you can't convert a chicken to a road sign, or the other way around, without a great deal of work (ie. it's virtually impossible). What you can do though (which was probably also mentioned in this thread) is put the mp3 inside the wad. Ports like Edge and Jdoom can play mp3 files directly, they don't need to be mid/mus.

I personally don't know, but if there was i think it would've been done by now... it would be extremely cool though...i'd personally love to see something like Jstrife :)

Loosing the source code for their game isn't a very professional thing for a company to do....shame on them :P

It seems there's been no real Edge activity since version 1.27...my friend tells me they're beta testing version 1.28 though. Does anyone know anything ? maybe what features it will have and such ?

I picked up a copy of the master levels a couple of years ago for $1.2 because it had a neat poster in it. I've never bothered trying the wads that game with it, so I'm wondering if i should get the cd, dust it off, and kill some stuff (ie. are the wads any good ?) ...

i have a dir called C:\spil\doomsday (spil = games in danish) where all my wads are, and my source ports in the appropriate dirs: edge: c:\spil\doomsday\bm3\ (an edge mod i'm working on) jdoom: c:\spil\doomsday\jdoom\ any port: c:\spil\doomsday\anyport etc. etc. my shortcut to edge says something like "gledge32.exe -iwad ..\doom2.wad -ddf ddf -height 2342234 -width 234234 etc. etc.

Reading about your monster ideas would probably be inspirational too :) heh, maybe you could become known as the Jaque Costeau (no idea how it's spelled) of Doom...and do something like this for peoples' mods 'n' stuff :)

I did some remixes of Doom..in mod format...as far as i remember, i've done e1m1, e2m1, e2m5 and e2m6 or something like that..

I'd play that as well, but the game crashes if i try to start the it from the menu :(

Well, here in Denmark, we're allowed to borrow CDs from a library, copy the CD to MP3 files and use those files as long as we don't give the files to anyone else, and we can also make copies of our own CDs as much as we want to... so i think something similar must apply for ROMs as well. edit: Nevermind this post, i just read that this law was changed 2 months ago.

Denmark...now, I'm not a 100% sure, but i'm pretty sure it's like that .. and i thought it was like that in any other country as well... i've read on lots of sites that ROMs are illegal when you've had them in your possession for more than 24 hours, unless you own the rom's cartridge.

According to the law, at least in my country, any commercial ROM is legal as long you own the cartridge itself..

Heh, i could make 2D renders of the 3D models and put those in :P
