Great, just what we needed, someone teasing
-
...what? And no, no one has done a fully fledged TC yet; and the people who have tried so far have chosen the smart decision of modifying IWADs and use low-res textures extracted from screenshots

You know what other IoS fight was actually decent, for what it is and the limitations which it was developed for? The final map of Doom 2 RPG. Also that IoS design is -for me- the best that has ever been done, either official or fanmade

I don't care what everyone says, Doom won't turn 20 until those 30 mins after they kicked everyone out of the net to upload the shareware pass :P

Hellbound's MAP30 or Hell Grounds' MAP07

Taking advantage of this small bump to express my deepest thanks to chungy for offering this small but useful contribution, I downloaded the entirety of it, and I'll be seeing it 'till the end of times.

Zandronum SNS #101 - Doom's 20th Celebration with John Romero
IMX replied to Sicamore's topic in Doomworld News
I think we may need confirmation of this -
We all should know by now (and at some degree, are tired to listen to) about the several amount of remixes that have been made of the classic songs. OCRemix's very own 2 disc tribute, Sonic Clang's, Neurological's, Kinkiness, you name it. But what about MIDI? The only ones I know that seem to exist are the Project: Doom remixes, and Plutonia 2's rendition of E2M8, but that's it. Are there any other works that I do not know about?

I want to add my nomination for Hellbound too. Oh man what a fucking awesome wad

Which I think I managed to replicate after playing around with Audacity a long time ago. Also, slightly unrelated to this thread, but I think it would be great if someone requests John Romero to replicate the infamous IoS' SIT, so the community can use it for their wads and stuff. It could be a great addition to the Perkristan's HQ soundpack

I must note that this, for good or bad, should be properly mentioned in the News section. This is big.

I got bored one night, and tried to beat D2TWID's MAP32 in UV-max for no raisin. If you have any questions please check the vid description http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcrDA3Ppb5Y Also I choosed not to embed the video and placed the actual url of it to avoid spoilers for those who may still haven't played this wad yet

Got it! Thank you so much -
Tell us about Doom Facts/Trivia/Interesting Stuff.

Doom's GOR2A0 is -literally- half Benito Mussolini, half Clara Petacci (for years some people thought it was only Mussolini). Not sure if I'm allowed to post the proof of this. -
DWANGO. Nuff said

The Official 'Trying to Find a Specific WAD' Thread
IMX replied to gruntkiller4000's topic in WAD Discussion
I apologize if I sound vague I remember not playing it at all, but I DO remember opening it in SLADE, and looking at the content and textures used in it -It definitively had aztec-themed textures on it. That was the main reason I downloaded the WAD, because I had a thing for playing aztec-themed WADS at the time. -It was short; like, 5, MAYBE 6 maps -It also had some other kind of textures, egyptian ones I think. Defitively NOT the ones used in works like Epic 2. -No custom monsters at all. That's all I can think of at the moment. If someone can help me with this one, I'll appreciate it a lot Edit: typos -
Pirate Doom Back To Saturn X Ep.1 ZDCMP2 (Fuck it, even in RC status this thing is that good and deserves a prize. Those who haven't played it yet are missing something quite good) Zone 300 Vanilla Sky NOVA: The Birth (I kind of stopped playing it after a certain oddly-shaped map in the middle of the wad, but despite that I'm still nominating it) Doom II The Way id Did Project MSX Samsara for Best Multiplayer And for everything that's sacred, jack101's Mayhem Mansion should at least get a mention on the following Cacowards

Sorry for bothering with my post, and I apologize if you've tried it before, but have you checked Ultimate Guitar for Guitar Pro tabs of Pearl Jam? Guitar Pro tabs often are submitted and there's a chance you might find a song properly tabbed with all the instruments included, the catch here is, you can export that tab to MIDI format. Here you can download Guitar Pro tabs of Pearl Jam. There's a good bunch of them so you might want to give a listen to every single one of them. Being honest I'm not a fan of Pearl Jam so I can't assure you if they're as accurate as possible but I guess it shouldn't be hard for you to check 'em http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/pearl_jam_tabs.htm Naturally you will need Guitar Pro to open said tabs, but unfortunately it's not a free program; anyway, you can download another (freeware) program which can do the work of exporting 'em as MIDI TuxGuitar can open Guitar Pro tabs as long as they're supported http://tuxguitar.herac.com.ar/download.html Sadly this program is no longer mantained and the site has been overrun with spam, but the download links still work and the program is fully functional.

Short, but nice mapset that leaves you wanting more from both the mapper and this WAD. Despite the warning, I never found myself short of ammo in both levels (even in pistol-start), but still, try not to go wild. A few monster traps might be easy to spot (other not so much) and the levels might be considered linear to some people's tastes but overall this is a great WAD.
