The Doom Movie, For Real This Time?

I wasnt directly saying that he was mowing down bad guys. But the fact that he killed that many guys was highly unlikely. Plus, doom 3 isnt gonna be about mowing down bad guys! this thread is getting way out of hand, were on page 5 now...

The Doom Movie, For Real This Time?

I can almost guarantee already that at least 1/3 of everyone here will not like doom 3, or at least like the original better. JUST because its different. It could be the best most incredibly graphical game on the planet, and still play REALLY well, but people won't like it cause its not exactly like the original doom. Whats wrong with it being a little different?

The Doom Movie, For Real This Time?

I have a great idea... How bout this. If the doom movie does turn out to be just another crappy game movie, ill make my own doom movie with my digital video camera. Ill even use greenscreening and my 3d animation skills to make some neat doom environments. And ill make it overly gory to make up for that pg-13 rating. It will suck but it couldnt be any worse than anything with a PG-13 rating!!

The Doom Movie, For Real This Time?

Bruce willis is the perfect person for doom. Think about this, Doom with blood all over his face, cuts everywhere, battling demons with a common shootem up attitude and overwhelming enemy numbers. Thats exactly what Die Hard was. Ecks vs Sever flals under the category as "its so bad its funny as hell"

The Doom Movie, For Real This Time?

Hmm, remember the cop in the movie The Replacements? He wasn't playing a serious role, but, I wonder what he would be like as Doom... Or maybe thats what we want, a crazed madman running aorund saying "I'll get you the ball! I'll get you the ball!" in hell.

The Doom Movie, For Real This Time?

What the heck do ya expect them to make of mario brothers? I mean, a bunch of pixel plumbers shooting fireballs at turtles and shrinks when he gets hurt. Not to mention going through pipes and breaking blocks to get to secret places. How the heck were you supposed to make the movie like that game when the game didnt even really protray any type of reality or rules. It could litterally be interpreted in any way someone wants, much like a book. Thats why book readers always say the book was better, because they could think of it the way they wanted it to be. It is their imagination. This is the same for game movies. I am sure every single person out there has a different view of what a "real" doom world would be like, because the story isnt detailed enough about anything. Everyone has their own conclusions, so you can't expect a game movie to be perfectly how you wanted, because they CAN'T be!

The Doom Movie, For Real This Time?

What a very strange cooincidence!! I write a stupid little script cause im bored as f*ck then 3 days after i send it to doom radio this happens. Pretty odd coincidence? Maybe they are just gonna force me to stop sending it to people with legal crap like "blah blah you will affect the gross of the crap and the crap and crap like that crap". Oh well tho, i wasnt really expecting it to be seen by more than 4 people anyways, heh. Anyways, I just saw Ballistic the other day, and it was rated R. R?!! There was like bearly any blood, no nudity (damnit) and bearly any swearing. I mean c'mon, eyes wide shut was R rated :). If doom is gonna be pg-13, yikes, this could be a pretty bad thing :(.

    Legacy Tastes Like Chicken

Hey, its me, the dufus who wrote the script that was put on that zip of doom radio episode 5. I just wanted to clear some things up for some people.... This isn't a "real" movie script... it's just a hobby. I wanted to see how hard it would be to write a movie script, so, looking for ideas, i turned my head and saw doom 2 cd sitting there. So I said, why not. Don't think I'm writing a Doom movie or anything like that. The thing is HEAVILY unformatted correcly, because I wrote it in about 4 days of free time :) I know it sucks, this is my first time ever doing anything like this. So don't yell at me for making such a crappy script.... I've just got nothing better to do! hehe. Oh, and thats not the whole thing as he says in the radio show, its just RIGHT up to the part where it gets more and more like the actual doom games... youll see, (if you havent read it yet) If you like the story, great, if not, then I'll crawl into my closet and lay in a fetal position for ten days. hehe also this is my first post here at doomworld, i hope i didnt reply to the wrong thing :|
