  1. Any game is subject to horrid development cycles. Valve is notorious for this (insert half-life 3 joke here). Valve got hacked by some german kid in 2004 and the game got leaked onto the internet. It showed that they were nowhere near done with the game. yet is ended up being one of the most remembered games ever made.

also, Obsidian beat me to the punch, Duke Nukem Forever took 12 years to make yet bombed.

personally, I think it has to do with developers that know what to take out and what to keep. The ones that avoid spinning their wheels make the best games despite problems they run into.

  2. @FireFish
I dunno m8. When sites like reddit, 4chan (not just /v/, but boards like /b/ and /pol/ are discussing this), gamefaqs, funnyjunk, and even the SJW hivemind tumblr are all agreeing on something and calling Zoe Quinn out and these are sites that normally hate each other quite a lot. Something pretty big is happening.

  3. I should be enjoying myself. Sex scandal? Check. Everyone losing their minds? check. all hell breaking loose in sites I like? check. drama (and lots of it)? check. proof that modern vidya gaem journalism is corrupt to a degree and is lacking in a sense of ethics? check. but you know what, I simply can't give a fuck on what's going on. These idiots want attention and that's how they get clicks on their sites and how they boost their careers. I bet they wanted this to happen and we're doing what they want us to be doing. Let's not give them any more attention.

  4. @Jaxxoon R
have you seen Disney's Aladdin or third one, King of Thieves? Robin williams was the genie in both movies and did a great job. I love the first one a lot. Third one was ok. I don't see how that one can be forgotten, it's one of his most well known roles.

  5. ok let's see, I'll just list a few I can remember off the top of my head.

    1. I really love the grand theft auto franchise. San andreas is one of my most played games on steam, I got over 100 hours clocked into it.
    2. Any game made by valve, specifically TF2. I Don't play it that often anymore, but it's still a game I love
    3. old school fps games I'll go for, quake, unreal tournament, duke nukem 3d, ect.
    4. Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy VII are both my favorite role playing games
    5. earthbound series is another classic game(s) I love to play
    6. chrono trigger is another fun classic RPG to play

Dammit, someone kick my ass for me.

    ok

anyways, if you're questioning me when I said these wads took a few weeks to make. I made them in my spare time during school. I would usually spend about 10-30 minutes at a time work on on it. it was kinda of an irregular schedule, sometimes spending days without working on it. I forgot to mention that in my original readme file, but it's too late for that now it seems.

  7. @Geo
unfortunately Geo, this whole "fuck it, I'm not gonna pay for it" mentality is the cause of a lot of the problems. Not saying your girlfriend is like that, but my #1 pet peeve when it comes to piracy is when a lot of "brave" kids act like stealing music or games is what will make a free open society and being asked to pay for it is oppressive. They work so hard to try to justify it, it's almost pathetic. It's why we have all this unnecessary DRM in games and software. God, Just at least stop lying to yourself and admit this is stealing.

  8. In terms of metal, I'm a casual fan. I like it as long as it's not the type of metal were they're screaming loudly and obnoxiously and what they're saying is hard to understand. I'm not talking about screamo either.

In terms of rock, I love classic rock. I love rock specifically from the 70s, but 60s/80s rock I do like at the same time. Do I listen to modern rock? yeah, just not as often as classic rock.

  9. well given Russia's track record when it comes to this, I'm not surprised in the slightest. This is only gonna end with nobody winning and a lot of people dying, only for later to politicians to agree to a compromise, patting themselves on the back for a "job well done" .... and eventually we will be back to square one. lather, rinse, repeat.

Well, if comic books have taught me anything, this matter can only be resolved by having a giant squid monster teleported into Times Square.

why a gaint squid, why not something cooler like a giant kaiju monster or something?
