  1. I got a new laptop as a high school graduation present. It's a bit of an unexpected move on my parents' part, but I'm more than thankful for it. It's pretty darn good too, I must say. Here's the specs:

Here's the exact laptop in case you're wondering.

It came with Windows Vista Home Premium preloaded on it, but it was easy enough to get Windows XP Pro up and running on it without any major roadblocks. I'm quite happy with it. :D

Well, it's certainly more than I would have ever expected, that's for sure. I didn't think I was going to get anything for graduation at all. I suppose I shouldn't mention the $1,000 check my grandparents sent me, too. :P All I can say is... holy crap.

As for the laptop, it's really nice. It's much better than my current desktop PC in just about every way. Of course, I wouldn't complain either way. I'm really, really thankful.

A 32-bit OS like XP Pro can only access 2GB of memory, or correct me if I'm wrong. Still, nice gift.

Theoretical limit is 4GB. Actual limit for XP is 3GB though. So it's a perfect fit.
