  1. So I have 70s style sideburns on my face. My friends have seen laughed and made jokes and I did the same back but they don't call me out on everyday, they accept my style, just as I accept theirs.

What really pisses me off are the people who will talk shit about your style, yet those people follow all the latest trends because they don't know how to choose a style.

Give an experience where people make fun of your style yet they have follow EVERY style that is trendy.

People just like to laugh at what they perceive is different because different automatically means weird apparently. People who do that generally feel insecure about themselves and have a small and shitty ego. A lot of the time they need to put others down to feel good because they suck at life. Then there are those people who are just straight up psychopaths and don't care about anybody but maybe they got a small dick that's why they are mad! Haha! Or maybe the sideburns genuinely look ridiculous. Either way if it's what you like just keep it and screw what people say. Do what makes you happy.

      Amen to that brother.

"I know what people say to you right. They say: "We hate you. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. Everybody hates you." So fucking what? Some people, they just fucking love to hate. Some people, they'd fucking walk around the fucking Garden of Eden, fucking moaning about the lack of fucking mobile reception! These are the kind of fucks who watched Mandela, fucking Nelson Mandela, walk to freedom...and said "is Diagnosis: Murder not on the other side?" So we fucking forget about them.

I remembered this conversation at community college years ago. I can't remember what it was about, but it ended like this:

ARROGANT GUY: Of course you would believe that, because you have no sense of style. You can't leave an impression on anyone. For example, look at the shlubby clothes Mike is wearing, versus the air of confidence and sophistication my outfit exudes.

ME: But I don't need any of that shit because I have a personality.

ARROGANT GUY: sits quietly the rest of the day

  2. Okay so how much does it cost for you annually to live on your own? Solo, I mean. Like where do you live and how much would you say that is costs for you to live. Per month or year is fine, just those two please.

I've lived on my own in Italy and Greece, and renting a room in a shared flat in Italy ranged from 100-200 Euros monthly, depending on the zone, age of the building etc. Renting an entire flat by yourself would be 300-600 euros monthly, again depending on the zone, size etc. These are 2000-2003 prices though.

In Greece renting an entire flat in a major city (Athens, Thessaloniki) goes from 150 to 300 Euros (at least for flats under 60 m^2), and sharing flats is far less common. Even with a relatively low-wage job, one can still afford to live on his own in most cases, if he believes it's worth the extra rent (and I do ;-)

Students do share flats sometimes ofc, but it's (still) far less common among working class people.

I pay half of the bill in a shared 2 bedroom apartment. After utilities and internet Its around 320-340 a month. So if you come to Eastern South Dakota land land, you can live by yourself for under 700 USD a month.

But you have to live in Eastern South Dakota.

  3. What do I do now? I can't take with my family. Okay before I say, I am eighteen years old and currently enrolled as a freshman in college. My family feeds me and gives me money for things like gas, but they are the absolute biggest control freaks in the world and they always tell me they are worthless and I can't do anything. They always tell me that I shouldn't try to think of doing anything, like starting a company.

I'm not here thinking the world is perfect. I am a person who can take assholes. I have had a lot to run with, but it pisses me that my parents have to be too, I can't take it. What should I do? I have only a thousand dollars in my bank, so I know I can't move out. I feel like I have motivation to do anything in life because life sucks under them.

You should continue to save money until you can move out.
