  3. Brilliant. It's like I'm gazing through a temporal fissure at an alternate timeline's Wikipedia article. There's also the obligatory attempt at a somber episode every show has: one about a revenant, deluded into thinking he was once human and outcast by the other demons, attempting to join the heroes only to have his dreams crushed. He then sacrifices himself at a pivotal moment to save Inferno Team. The episode ends with Chief saying: "He may have been a demon, but he was more human than most humans." There were plans to bring him back for the second season, but they never came to fruition.

  6. Snapmap won't be returning but they've gone on to say they're considering mod support and have already retooled their engine to better permit it. The question is if they'll have the opportunity to release modding tools post-release.

    Sandy Petersen interview I had never noticed before

    Considering two people so far have confused E2M6 with E3M6, they could've at some point shuffled the level slots around. And note that Petersen said "level-making engine", he's likely referring to the level editor as the thing he kept breaking.
  8. The thing is, Bobby Prince made those tracks as examples and didn't intend for them to be used ingame. Once he found out they were, he immediately started worrying that they would be sued. Oddly enough, I don't think I've seen much discussion on why they weren't, whether it was just the luck of being overlooked, or if the various artists that did notice liked the game enough to let it slide.
  9. For the record MAP03 is actually titled "Evil of Snow," the current title is an error made during compilation. Retroactively remove any previously known uncanon names from your memory posthaste.

  13. Did a cursory glance on who.is and Dmworldforums looks to be available and cheap. Unfortunately, DMWorld is also the name of an Orange County, Florida transportation company. So maybe try Damnworldforums, or if worse comes to worse, predeterminedeternalpunishmentworld.com. That last one might seem excessively long, but you'll find it has a very nice ring to it. It can even be shortened to PDEPWORLD if you want.

    What do you think DoomGuy couldn't win against?

    1) Sans Undertale. Sans' bones would enter the hud and hit Doomguy's face, draining him of a maximum of 35 hp per second. 2) The 12th dimensional, infinitely-accelerating truck from Big Rigs. Doomguy can only move in 3 dimensions and wouldn't be able to process the truck's attacks even if he could, seeing as it moves at approximately 12.3 Undecillion miles per hour and can phase through any obstacle. 3) Charles Barkley Charles Barkley is canonically able to use the forbidden Chaos Dunk, an attack with the ability to level the entirety of New York with the force of an atomic bomb while leaving Charles unharmed. If their fight took place in Hell where collateral is not a concern Charles would not hesitate to use it.

    Doomguy backing him up seemed like a pretty important detail, giving insight into the former's character and potentially setting up a bunch of cool plot threads. He's also the only character really chill with Doomguy, everyone else is either afraid of him or trying to screw him over. Weirdly enough there's been zero mention of him in any of the trailers or press release interviews. Where my boy at?

    3D Model rendering problem... again...

    Looks like it's positioned too close to the viewport (which will cause it to clip slightly). Try moving it forward and tweaking the size until it looks right. As for the other issues I'm not sure. Are you using any sort of materials, and if so, are you sure you set them up properly?

    @Man of Doom I'm not really familiar with how MK's pre-fight dialogues work, but it seems like a missed opportunity for Doomguy to just do the same motions each time considering how expressive he was in Doom 4's cinematics. Something like pausing and looking down at his own chainsaw in response to Leatherface would be a nice touch.

    Quake Champions was dreadful to play, though, I found even Doom 4's multiplayer more entertaining and stable.

    Echoing coop mode. But if competitive multiplayer makes a reappearance, I'd wish for it to feel more like classic Doom than Quake or anything else. A dozen marines sliding around like hovercars and dying, respawning, and dying again every 10 seconds is something you can't get anywhere else.

    I remember this same conversation happening around the release of the last game, before it descended into an argument over whether Doomguy's weapons appearing broke some kind of lore or established tone in the MK universe or something. I still say it's a decent idea, but I'd also like to have him in Smash.

    Will Doom Eternal Be Unfinished?

    Doom Eternal will be a horrible came with just a model of Doomguy ragdolling on a checkered floor, surrounded by t-posing demons that emit goofy noises provided by the developers' children. The game (featuring a striped floor at this time) will be revealed at Quakecon to a confused audience. The entire id Software staff will go up onstage and embrace each other, crying tears of joy at the beauty and whimsy of their masterpiece. I know this because Bethesda is mean.
