Fixed the linedef error myself and gave it a play. It's certainly not as bad as Joe claims it is, bt it definitely has a lot to be improved on. I'm no playtester but I can give you some constructive advice. First of all the pile of items ( like the heap of overlapping weapons at the start ) is a big no, unless you just put that there temporarily for testing purposes. Try spreading out the items more, and make them more representable, like placing them on top of a pedestal or in the center of a booby trap room with a few units of ammo next to it. As for the cyberdemon, he definitely needs room to move since him being trapped in that small room doesn't contribute to doom's fast paced and fluid gameplay. I'd also recommend adding a bit of lip above the doors like this. It helps to make doors seem less flat and give some depth to them. I'd love to see your map improve, man.

I can't seem to launch your map fellowzdoomer, I'm getting a missing linedef error. " The following lines do not have a front sidedef: 128 ". Damn, Joe go easy on the guy.

I thought it was a good map, man. I actually had the same exact idea to reshape Slough of Despair into a big middle finger, but never did it. Also don't listen to jmickle, he's just a big hater and probably just has a stick up his bum. -

I often noclip up lifts because I'm too impatient for it the lower and raise. I also noclip across platform obstacles if I've already crossed them previously. I fucking hate most of doom 2's later maps ( especially Nirvana, I consider this the worst doom map of all time). I have a bad habit of quicksaving right as a missile is about to kill me.

Here's the latest version of The Den. https://mega.co.nz/#!zloWRBSJ!lIXpnIYdZhIroW0QJGDzMU4hPiaqt_nidUoG2MJtCR4 Fixed the bleeding textures, aligned the spine texture and made it impassible, replaced the chaingunner by the switch with an imp on easy mode, reworked the water pit, and added a secret. As for the music I'd like to use e1m5 - Suspense. You oughta check out Unloved, one of my favorite wads. A word of warning though, it gets pretty slaughter heavy as it progresses.

Hey, getsu. The reason why I added rocket and cell ammo to the map but without any plasma/rocket launcher is just in case one of the maps before mine would have had a rocket launcher or plasma gun in it. As for the flats, I guess I'll work with em and see what I can do And yeah, I do intend for my map to be one of the first 5 in the wad.

Hey guys, been mapping for doom for a while now but never really took part in the doomworld community, so I figured why not start here. Put together a little map for the wad over the past couple days. Anyways here's my map, still subject to change and feel free to give me some criticism or suggestions.
