  1. Is there any sort of process I can go through so that I can create a music cd out of files that are or originally were midi's? I want a cd that is playable on any basic cd player (No futuristic super multi-file type supporting CD playing behemoths that are out on the market nowadays.)
The reason being is that I want a cd of music from various doom wads so I can run around the streets with doom music in the background.

    thanks for your time.

Winamp can output MIDIs to wavs.

Preferences --> Plug-ins --> Output --> Make sure Microsoft Sound Mapper is selected

      Then...

Preferences --> Plug-ins --> Input --> click on Winamp2 MIDI Plug-in so that it is highlighted, then click configure. Under device, select DM/Microsoft Synthesizer. Then, under output, check the box marked "Write WAV files to:" and then choose your directory.

Once you have your wavs, you can either put those directly on a CD or turn them into MP3s using a program such as LAME.
