Could be because Echoes brought some attention back to Classic HL.

I don't understand why they even bother to update their 20 year old games tbh. I mean, it's cool, but shouldn't they put their budget in, I don't know, making some new games? Maybe?

They seem to only put effort on updates of their existing products nowadays, including Steam, Modern Valve..
