  1. Flame me if I'm wrong, but isn't the song 'Them Bones' by 'Alice in Chains' a REMAKE of a DOOM II track, D_AMPIE? Level 16, if you do not know what the music track is right off the batt. You know what, if I am wrong, you can bann me. Fair enough? And don't just bann me because of my past history. Be reasonable. Download the file off of a music program like Kazzaa or Morpheus Preview Edition. It SOUNDS AND BEATS just like the music track! Listen to it! If I am wrong, BANN ME!

    BTW, if anyone doesn't believe me that the project is 'in the works' DARE ME to RELEASE a Chris Redfield skin for EDGE. Dare me. BTW, the model (or skin, choose your pick) was made by Lobo, the one who quit the team for personal reasons. The Doom Gods website is getting a facelift, and most of the game information will be released as soon as one of the members gets back to me. That should convince most of you. *Hopefully* There is still positions left WIDE OPEN. Mainly level designers and EDGE coders, so if anyone wants to help feel free to give me an e-mail!

    Despise what you all think, you are wrong. We are still editing (aside from me overseeing), and have actually started developing. 3 classes to pick from: Chris Redfield Flynn Taggart Duke Nukem. BTW, the name WAS changed to Resident Evil Unleashed: knee-deep in the dead CHAPTER 1. Does that aswer your questions? Site will be updated soon, with a more pretty look rather than a but-ass ugly one.

    Beta crap?

    I was wondering if there is a way and/or a utility that will allow me to rip the graphics out of the DOOM beta and alpha versions. BTW, is there a REALLY GOOD LEVEL EDITOR out there as good as Duke Nukem's BUILD utility? Or at least a decent one as understandable as the BUILD utility? Thanks!

    Hell yes. But...who is to take over The Doom Gods? With Lobo gone, Hell has risen against me. What am I to do? I just can't go right back to the Doom Gods and ditch SuperSonic Software unless I merge them. >crap< Help please.

    Ok. This will get you back on track. I am still into the project, but as a over-seeing developer along with Dark_Photon and intel*man. We are SuperSonic Software, and will be monitoring the game status. You tell us what you want to do, and we approve. After this semester is over later in the year, I will return to development in the lead role of The Doom Gods. That should clarify things up.     OK LISTEN! Lobo is right about me leaving the team, but I am NOT gone forever. Me and a team of 4 have formed are old company, SuperSonic Software. Over-seeing development. I had to leave, yes, for personal reasons, but Lobo is the guy in charge. But, Lobo is wrong about the project on hold. It is still going. We got new members (I should say "they"), and we are beginning pre-production (yes, Lobo, you need to start e-mailing me and asking me for the other team's e-mails).   12. Everyone working on a mod related to something else should read this. I am serious. This information was taken out of Lee'Mon's Generations Arena project info, and same thing applies for the Doom games. Period. Read this: First off, a “mod” or any similar project cannot be based on intellectual property belonging to any other person, company, or group without permission. You cannot make a mod based on the “ALIEN” universe, the Simpsons cartoon show, the Terminator Universe, the Mario series of games, and so on. Those characters and universes are the property of their respective companies, and they have the right to decide when and where they are used (barring news coverage and similar “fair use” cases, which do not apply here.) This restriction has several elements. You cannot utilize characters that belong to someone else. Those characters (and even their very likenesses) are copyrighted. Q2Gen used the characters from Wolfenstein-3D, DOOM, and Quake I in a mod for Quake2. Even though those characters were all owned by one company (and even though that company that owned the game the mod was made under), they were still illegal; intellectual property from one game was brought to another. It doesn’t matter that the mod was released for free, or that the characters were from the shareware release. Bringing them into another game was illegal. This applies to lead characters as well as “monsters” or other characters. In addition, any content from one game cannot migrate to another without permission. Content from other sources (movies, television shows, or even books) cannot migrate into a mod either. Q2Gen broke this by several bounds, converting levels, textures, models, sounds, graphics, and more from Wolf3D, DOOM, and Quake into the Quake2 engine. AND BOOM! There you go. Only way we got off cleanly is taht we got permission from Capcom and id to do the project. Reply to this post. I am curious to hear your flames.

Anyways, anyone still interested here are a few tidbits: Lobo, one of my team members, has announced he will be using REAL things from the psx games (RE series) into the GLEDGE engine. He says the real skins will be making it into the game and a couple of music tracks as well.     Look, the Quake II Generations project has been dead for a LONG time, but one that has sprung up, in contrast to the original Quake II Generations, is SOG. SOG is a modificaion for Quake II that did everything Generations did: except legally. You can find the SOG (Some old games, Son of Generations, etc) at: www.planetquake.com/sog Enjoy.

    Yeah, I know. I just want people to know so id or anyone else decides to shut them down. Hey, even bringing simple games from Quake 1 shareware to Quake 2 or "Alien" property into Doom is just not right. This also applies for Resident Evil. Our project was really on the virge of going KABOOM! So we held respect to the authors by asking them both of what they think. They both said "yes" and we had to agree under certain conditions. I am just trying to warn other people.

    Do you guys have hosting on Doomworld? I have a project in the works (i am sure everyone knows it by now) and I hate using Geocities (no Frontpage extensions, 15mb webspace). Is there any way to get hosted on Doomworld? Through Telefragged, I suppose? Just a thought...

    Well, bots in the game you can talk to. Gl support Kick ass weapons Awesome gameplay. 'nuff said. Also, Lobo, our pre-beta of Make Doom go Quake (3) has come out. Only for people working on my team though, due to our link on the site broken and having to remove it. 1 mb over geocities ftp space. Kinda sucks.

    I need help for a Doom project please

    We are officially on track again. Our mod status is at 4%! Yeah, I know, your thinking...so? Well, that just means every 3 days it raises 4%, meaning we will be done by the time Febuary starts. And great news follows great news: The people over at www.planethalflife.com joined forces with us. Their Resident Evil mod for Half-life is going to be released soon, so I asked them, and they are now the porducers of the mod! We have them guiding us, which woll more likely raise the bar to 8%. But then again, Christmas Break is ending today, and I go back to high school tomorrow. So minus 2% and we get 6%! Pretty descent. Anyways, I will keep updating the status for ahwile.***************** And the PRE-BETA version of Make Doom go Quake (3) has come out! Get it at our site (note: our site is down right now. Link coming soon). It is a DOOM ENGINE rewritten in Quake 3 engine, however, it is cross-compatible. It is only a beta and it is EXTREMELY BUGGY. So I advise you guys to be careful with it. Only compatible with XP, which I don't have anymore ('98). One thing I ask in return: Keep it quiet, because we don't want to get sued again from id software. heh.

    Halo: The Good, Bad, and Repetitive

    The PC version is way better, I enjoy playing pc Halo then xbox Halo. It is really awesome and brought back some of the Quake in me.
