Thank you for your kind evaluation of the map. Regarding your concerns: - I loved to mislead the player - it is incredible how you can manipulate a player playing on the common tropes and expectations. I would like to leave the misdirections: my idea is that once you mislead the player once s/he will never trust you again and s/he will see the map throught other eyes. - I didn't want to make things too easy for the player, so I choose on purpose very similar textures for "special" areas. I can change to other textures. Now I'll work on a new version answering your concerns and adding monsters for gameplay.

I may be interested in this... I'm from Italy so full of ideas and places for sure.

I have finished my map, except for difficult setting which is missing. It is playable in "explorer mod", if you like. I'm not sure I will manage to add monsters before 25/6 deadline, is it ok to post it anyway just to keep the slot?

As far as I could understand, in the map we can have two types of secret areas: * counted secret areas, with a maximum of 6, and each one must be needed to complete the map * non-counted secret areas, something like bonuses places and so on. Question: if, in order to enter a counted secret area, I need the player to find n hidden switches, do the n places where I put the switches add to the total count of counted secret areas?

I miss: when Doom pwads were not hires, hi special effects new games but only additional adventures in the same doom styles. the time had to play and map the sense of exploration and discovery from the original games and from and older generation of pwads. Pwads today are too much focused on combat tricks and such
