    Arrange all Doom(2) monsters and weapons from best to worst

    Favorite Monsters: Imp-extremely flexible and can be overused without the map feeling stale. Mancubus-fun dodging fireballs Shotgun Guy-really high damage and low health, great for ambushes because you get rewarded with ammo Demon-might be annoying but they are good at stopping the players progress by blocking the player Revenant-med health, and high damage causes the player to switch strategies Cacodemon-different from the others because it can fly and is fun in hordes. Hell Knight-basically an OP imp.... All the others... they are only okay

    What makes a midi too complex? I have like 6 channels including drums. Are there certain instruments I can't use? or can I not have so many channels?

    None of those work.. chocolate doom crashes when I rename the file to d_runnin. And typing the output doesn't work either..

    I have a question about ANVIL Studio.. How do I get my MIDIs to MUS format so I can use them in my Chocolate Doom maps? I tried MIDI2MUS on DOSBOX and can't figure it out...

    THANKS SO MUCH!!! I was really about to give up but that fixed it all up. I don't know why I moved the ceilings and floors instead of just deleting the sectors haha

I have no idea how to fix it so if someone could help I would greatly appreciate it. This issue is only present while running on Chocolate Doom I think but I want 100% compatibility so I want to fix it rather than switch source ports. To get outside there is a door immediately behind you. THANKS A LOT!!

This is a sneak peek at my WAD that I'm going to be releasing probably sometime in May or June. I've been making maps for about 6 years now and this is my first public one. The aim of the WAD is to bring back a Doom2ish feel and keep 100% compatibility with Chocolate Doom. The name of the WAD is Earth On Hell but I want a suggestions for names as this is only temporary. I want feedback so I can improve the maps and make them as perfect as possible so feel free to open up the WAD in an editing software and look through everything. If you choose to play through this level please answer the following questions in the comments. Thanks a bunch! QUESTIONS: 1.)Was there too little ammo or too much? (I tried to get it just right) 2.)Are the secrets too hard to find? 3.)What slight changes can I make to help the flow of the map? 4.)What ideas do you have for future maps? 5.)What is your overall opinion? Please be brutally honest! ALSO!!! I am interested in getting help for the WAD! If you are an experienced map maker and are interested in the project contact me and we will talk. NOTES: This is not the latest version of the map and there are a few bugs I have since patched. I will release the updated version if there is interest in it.     Earth On Hell Version 1.5 Tell me what you think

  20. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hb0ba3054r6myrs/EARTHONHELLV1.5.zip?dl=0 This is version 1.5 of the WAD I previously mentioned and got feedback on. This contains 3 maps and 2 are actually done. The first map is incomplete so I made the wall immediately behind you finish the level so you can get to the others. Map 2 is a new one and is relatively short but I really like it. It's more or less a rough draft so point out the flaws and help me out with it. And finally Map 3 is the map that I posted last time but I fixed a lot of the problems. The differences are: less demons, moved red key, removed bars that block you after leaving teleporter, switched some barons to hell knights, got rid of crappy mountains in all but one part, moved some ammo and guns around, slightly stretched claustrophobic areas, fixed tutti frutti, and fixed some mirroring issues. The only big issue remaining is the maze :( but I lit up a path to follow so you can run right through it because I'm going to remove the maze later. I hope to release this WAD to the public and it will eventually contain 8-10 levels. I'm looking for one other mapper that is willing to make like 2-3 levels. It is also 100% compatible with Chocolate Doom! Please leave feedback on MAP02 and 03, and thanks for helping me out!

    Okay so because of the overwhelming hatred of the mountains haha I'm going to cut them, except I'm going to keep them in the outdoors part outside of the red door and at the end of my other map. Any suggestions for how to fix those?

    It's funny because I was expecting to be demotivated if I got ripped apart by people but I'm loving the advice and tips I'm getting. I'm feeling really motivated to edit this map. I'm going to fix the mountains, delete the maze, and try to make the first few rooms less claustrophobic. I will also amp up the difficulty! And try to add in a few secrets that challenge the player a little more. Thanks everyone that contributed to the conversation!

    I knew about the tutti frutti on the stairs and the bar clipping. Those are both fixed in a later version but I didn't know the mountains looked that bad :/ okay so I'm going to work on this map talking into account everything you guys have said and will post this map along with the second one on saturday
