Has anyone else noticed the dirt cheap yams lately? At the Giant Eagles around here they're normally $1.49 a pound. Recently they went down to 50 cents per pound. I went home for Thanksgiving after that and found them for 39 cents per pound at Farmer Jacks. But they're back up to 79 cents per pound over here. Anyone seen them even cheaper over Thanksgiving season?

Yams are good with brown sugar, topped with marshmallows. I think they sell both yams and sweet taters here since they market them as seperate things at the stores and they taste and look different.
Eggplants taste like crap, though I think they are in ingrediant in some varieties of canalone, my favotire italian dish. Eggplant parmesan is to be avoided at all cost. Veal parmesan is much better if you can get it instead.
i like italian. the odd part if i hate tomato chunks for some reason. yea its wierd, cause i will eat tomato soup, pizza and the such i just hate the chunks. lamb just hasn't been something that has ever ended up on my plate for some reason. knowing my self, i will most likly taste kangaroo before lamb. despite the fact lamb is sold most everyware there is meat.
elk is good if you get the chance.
as far as yams, yea they are good. my brother hates them, but i think they are great.
