No, but I think they scripted an actual demon finisher for thematics. The entire time they were running a tech demo, I was hyped but saying to my gf "This is great and all, but I want to see the player die. That's part of it, this looks really easy and I want to see the player overwhelmed." Granted, a critical rocket strike isn't exactly overwhelming, but hype went into overload when the Revenant killed us by beating us with our own arm.

But will the melee indicator highlight be able to be toggled off. Hope so. Basically loot indicator, surely it can be identified by animation. Hated that shit.

This. Not sure why there's such a big stir about the plasma rifle. I much preferred D3's to Classic but I'm in the minority probably. Biggest disappoint is lack of fists. A part of me thinks that we'll get fists, but only with a Berserker pickup.

Has to be it. While I love D3 for what it was, I still can go back and play through vanilla doom and legit enjoy it. I think their inherent replay value is self evident. There's no reason why classic maps couldn't be recreated and be enjoyable.

The more I look at the Cacodemons, the less I like them. Arms are fine, but the dopey eye is breaking the fear for me. The lack of spikes is of grave concern.

The way I interpreted the rumor was that it'd be a two-phase beta with an internal raffle of code holders for the first phase, all code holders participating in the second phase. Just my two cents.
