I've been to bosnian caves and I can sadly say they are not as red as they are portrayed in the level. Immersion ruined.

Thanks :D. Yeah, we definitely need more surreal backdrops in doom wads. Back when I first started it (around december 2019), I was going for the vanilla format. But since keeping it to vanilla limit was proving bit challenging on some parts + other mappers joined in on the project, I decided to continue it in a limit-removing format.

I forgot to post about the tiny update I did for my map few days ago. I made a mistake in the red key area where the lift's linedef action was S1 instead of SR, making the player unable to leave the room. There's the Doomsnd program made by MTrop that converts wav files to snd fairly easily. It should probably work with no problems. https://www.doomworld.com/forum/post/1149456 -

I did some minor changes in my map, nothing big just some tweaking of certain areas to make it easier to combat revenants. Tho i upped the monster count a bit compensate for that change. 64kb-danz.zip oh and the wad file is now 64.0 kb :) -

Sorry for bumping, but I did some minor texture fixing just in case you need to know. Few areas had some nasty texture misalignments which I didn't want to leave by. I've updated the link in my previous post. -

Alright, I've finished my map too. Hopefully I managed to balance it properly as well. Tested on chocolate and crispy doom. Has skill settings, but mostly was tested on UV and HMP. Contains around 60-70 monsters. Expect no revenants in this map. Name: Ichthyosis Map slot in the wad: MAP21 (due to different sky usage) Theme: Episode 3 / Hell / Skintek Size: 63.2 kb Music: XtraBobby.wad - D_E2M5 "Behind You" Requires 64ktexpack.wad. Hope I'm not late on this, been working on this slowly these past several hours. Might have it ready by tomorrow. It's an ep 3/inferno themed vanilla level I'm going for. -

I hate chaingunners as a player. But I love chaingunners as a mapper. The duality of a man. -
Not exactly a different genre, but I would love a Team Fortress style FPS (TPS?) game where you play as the demons, with each as a distinctive class. Maybe step it up the next level, make it Quake 3-esque and include monsters from other id games like Quake. As for the other genre, RTS works best. Or turn based strategy.

Thanks Jimmy :) They are Knave textures that I ported from a custom Quake 1 mappack. I'll be releasing a separate wad when I finish these maps.
