Where should I start, I mean, I know I do not have "good enough" C++ skills, but I really don't any 3D modelers, scriptwriters, map editors, etc in my area. Any suggestions? Sorry for my bad vocabulary.

Does anyone know of a WAD map editor for Linux based operating systems? Finally ditched Windows.

Just got this gem at a garage sale for 4 cents. Yeah, four cents. Smacked it in my N64 and played a little of it. Its moderatly fun, but feels really clunky at some points. and there is a machine gun attack that can be deployed by just pressing A. I found it to be pretty fun, but nothing I will return to in a while.

Well, I am working on the story-line at the very moment, but game wise, I will be using Cube 2 as the engine. I am actively and carefully learning C++, and I have someone that will be helping me with the audio/music. I do not expect anyone to do 100% of the work, and I do not expect anyone to be fully dedicated in the project either. All that I currently have done is a basic story and confirming that Cube 2 is going to be the engine. The game is going to be named "Tobutori" Which is "Flying Bird" in Japanese. (Because why the hell not? My stupid brain is to stupid to process names.) This game can just be something that can be done on our own time. As for the story, this is all I got: Bunch of bird species pissed at each other for no reason and decide to kill each other (Because why not?) On another note, My apologies that I am rushing to make a video game with little to no programming, modeling, scripting, and mapping experience. I just really want to do something with my life, and this game will be that. Sorry I have mental disibilities, folks.

I don't need money. I plan on making this game completely free with completely free software.

Ever since I was about 11, I wanted to make a video game that revolved around humanoid birds and an open world environment. I always though birds were so cool when I was young, and I wanted to find a way to put birds into a video game. The time has come for me to make a back-story. I have had so much passion in this story idea for a long time. I was thinking of writing a novel, but a video game would be better. I can come up with a story. but please I need help with this. I am a beginner at video game design, but this has inspired me to learn. I do not know where I can find a team of developers, as many people I know just dont know anything about it. Can I please ask for help? Sorry for my bad grammar and wierdness, just very tired.

Ill share one. There is a port for Doom for the Commodore 64 using the SuperCPU, and the game runs around 4FPS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0ct1PjBvMs He runs it on an emulator, but it should be the same for the real machine. This is no remake. its the REAL doom.wad!

I thought I would give Windows 10 a spin, and it's alright. Just alright. The Start menu is back, but it feels really hard to work with. it still has the "app" layout. I will *******ly take it over 8 any day, but there are some flaws about it I don't like. Just for the hell of it, I got it to run on a Pentium III 450MHZ

I mean, really! There are some really crappy San Andreas mods out there, Ive even seen one that is equivalent to a Terry WAD. All people post for mods are 2008 Lamborghinis with racing stickers all over it. and should I add everything has MILLIONS of polys, and slows down even the most powerful PC to a crawl. Weapon mods suck as well as most script mods. The best mods are probably .ASI mods.

It's a shame to be a young adult in a generation of shitty COD clones and 12 year old squeakers eating potato chips and screaming into a shitty microphone while they play Skrillex in the background. The games today are just awful in my opinion, they have no replayability. Kinda stupid of me to make a self-rant like this on Doomworld, but shit mate. I feel sad that Doom, my favorite game is 3 years older than I am, Never got the chance of buying the Doom floppies from the game store. Never got to conversate about it, All I want to talk about is Doom, but my peers only talk about COD or Minecraft. It sucks being 19 at this day of age. Ok, I think I vented enough on a video game forum. I dont need any sympathy, thanks.

I agree with Maes, I want to create a game using MY OWN ENGINE. Its worth a try learning with Game Maker, Ill take a look. Thanks for the suggestions!

Just recently bought this card for $40 at a local Best Buy, I wasn't expecting much from it, I thought I could at least play more modern games at Medium or low, but I this GPU is TERRIBLE. Games run like total shit on it. It's a very good card for multimedia, like movies and HD video. but for gaming, It runs like complete and utter shit. Quake III Arena cant even run maxed! Minecraft runs at low at around 30FPS, Brutal Doom runs perfect.... AT 640X480!!!! If you are a gamer. stay away from this card, wait to get somthing better. This card is only just a step up from integrated graphics, If you are going to be using it for Videos and image rendering, then its a perfect card.

I am thinking more of an open world exploration game, or something in that category.

Not really, I am aiming this at most mods. and my GT 610 handles whatever GTA SA mod I throw at it. I will say that there are some amazing mods for the game, MTA:SA, ENB (If you can say its a mod), SA:Render, and some of the ASI mods Ryosuke put out back in 2008 - 2012, there is also a mod which allows you to mod the game without messing around with any IMG editor, handling editor, map editor, etc. (San Andreas Mod Loader). I suggest you take a look at some CLEO mods on GTAGarage and see for yourself how crappy these mods are. The rarest thing I have in my collection is my Aqua: Megalomania album, an album that was never released in the USA, and I cant seem to find much info on it other than its real.
