Heh, I don't get tired to repeat myself: It's good and Capstone doesn't deserve all the hate it gets (mostly from youtube bandwagon). Witchaven in particular is very charming for what it is, however people have different expectations in games and it shows.

All you need to move voodoo dolls in vanilla is some barrels and crushers, or a custom dehacked entity who shoots and\or explodes infinitely (which is more reliable than crushers). For objects doing specific actions after getting shot, you can give one health to them and use keendie to push a voodoo doll behind a door - which ofc can pass any line action you want. If you need to activate more than one keendie you can kill and ressurect the shootable objects with dummy entities using vilechase. That's a bit more complicated but still doable I guess. Btw, you can do all sorts of scriptings in vanilla if you learn some tricks - like the former voodoo doll manipulation, the use of movable floors or multiple doors (which can be activated by entities out of bounds), or even linguortals that fully replicates conveyor belts from boom.

[RC5] EVITERNITY II - RC5 Released!

I think "17 Light Flickers (randomly)" can look better for torch lighting. Not sure how intense would be though. -
How do I add more actions to enemies with WhackEd4?
Noiser replied to Z0RGUSSY's topic in Doom Editing
You can add new action pointers by taking something you don't gonna use from other entities. For example, you can free a lot of slots by removing the second frame of the idle animation - or taking the unused bossdeath frames in Doom 2, from the Baron\Cyberdemon\Spiderdemon. The idea is geting creative and finding ways to manipulate the frames without altering the game in a greater scale. -
From the doom builder streams, it seems like this wad was not made with software render in mind - which is a shame because the lighting got totally ruined there

Game that everybody likes but you dislike
Noiser replied to Ralseiwithagun's topic in Everything Else
Well, in my POV yes. But this is very subjective indeed and I understand how you would prefer Blake Stone of Wolf3D instead. In my opinion Blake Stone have a better art direction, but Corridor 7 was more innovative. -
Pretty cool! I will give it a try on Choco as soon as I finish my work *_*

Game that everybody likes but you dislike
Noiser replied to Ralseiwithagun's topic in Everything Else
I don't see anything so unpolished about C7. In fact, I think it was one of the most advanced games of it's kind (wolf3D clones). Of course, it got totally eclipsed by Doom, but the game was full of features not ever seen at the time, like transparent walls, the intruder system, lightning effects, the inventory system and more. And sorry, but comparing the Capstone budget with Valve was a bit absurd. -
Not sure what you are trying to imply, but I suggest to be direct. Btw, aren't you from 4chan? Just to know.

I can't deal with this level of ignorance. Nazism should not be tolerated in any case or situation and if you are complacent with it, you are part of the problem.
-
Oh, poor nazi. I'm latino. How do you expect me to react? These people literally want me dead for being a "sub-human" in their eyes. No, there's no negotiation here. I applaud OP for their calm approuch and patience, but no one is obligated to show tolerance to this kind of people.
-
The fact that they tried to communicate something positive to a nazi bastard was kind enough already, because what he truly deserved was a punch in the guts.

Doom: Part 2 - Earth in Hell [Episode 1: At Earth's Gate]
Noiser replied to Kam Tovalski's topic in WAD Releases & Development
Oh my, this is really inspiring! It really looks like something made at that time, in the best way possible. The 90's flair is spot on and the layout seems very creative! -
Talent is a lie. Natural inclinations exists but are minimal and can be overcome. What we associate with talent is mostly tied to externalities - prior education, social circles, luck, money, free time (...). However, nothing beats practice. Do what you like and be kind with your limitations - but do it, just do it. You will get better in your own terms!

what would the legal ramifications be for the uac causing the hell invasion?
Noiser replied to roadworx's topic in Doom General
If you see what happens on the real world, you already have the answer. Big corporations are part of the dominant class. The state serves them, not the other way round. -
What is your opinion about your country (or your state in the case of the United States)?

Is it ok to make a community project of an idea that's already done?
Noiser replied to Johnny Cruelty's topic in WAD Discussion
I don't think it's a problem, tbh. The proposal can be the same, but the maps will be different. And it's always cool to see what new people can do with old ideas. As long as you don't copy the same name and give proper credits to the original idea, I think it's fair game.
