    Thanks buddy!I fixed the mistexturing,and the cave will have torches making it bright,i will make the tres passable,i may put some imps in the top of the gate,i will try to add more stuff to the castle but the brown thing is a big problem,well,unless it is tolerable,mainly because 90% of doom 2 Textures that are gothic are brownish or dont fit in my map. Thaks for pointing it out!

    My progress so far: https://vid.me/UD7T Notes: -My capture device is REALLY bad,and my laptop isn't fast,so we get that framerate. -I am playing with no monsters -The switch WON'T be there,randomly,i just put it there because i did not finish the cave where it will be -Mis-texturing on the lowered gates. -The cave is far from done So far that is what i got,any opinions?

    How i would not play such and awesome wad?It is really good,and it felt very original,a pretty small map that repopulates itself after a weapon progression,i did not have trouble with anything later in the map,tough,it is really good.And about my next wad,i want to give some information about it,it is a gothic themed map,and it is pretty small,you start off,kill a former human,proceed to the outdoors castle area,kill a bunch of sergants,demons,imps and a chaingunner,go into a cave that is so deep that it is almost hell (It is taking me ages to do the stairs lol),kill a cacodemon,get the double barrel shotgun,enter in a small base,hit a switch that will lower the castle wall,i am not a pro in these kind of stuff so it will look pretty awnkward when opened,enter in the castle,kill a demon,go into the castle basement,kill a bunch of sergants and two hell knights,navigate trough a maze you are constantly getting hunted by demons,get the blue skullkey,teleport your way to the hall of the castle,go into the castle prison,search a yellow skullkey in the cells,go to the torture room,kill a bunch of guys,go to the disposal courtyard,enter in the throne room (Yeah they are pretty sadistic),key the revenant inside,get the red skullkey,teleport your way back to the hall,there will be three switches,one for each color,use all of them,a wall will lower,make your way trough the disposal courtyard,get to the exit. It is pretty,well,linear and hard,but i will try to make rooms interesting,pretty basic stuff,but i think it will be fun to play,my only thing to do in my vacations now is to play Destiny on my Xbox One but the exotic bounty i have can only be completed in the weekends because i need to buy a thing from Xûr and he only comes in the weekends.

    Fine,I completed your level and it is really good in my opinion!Plataforming is the problem,throught,there is a part in the cave you need to do very precise jumps to get a cell recharge pack,and the archviles are a bit to user hostile,you should abuse less on hell knights and put more cacodemons,because seriously,killing a hell knight with a shotgun is a pain in the ass,the BFG being a secret that could only be gotten by a difficult jump is just stupid considering the difficulty of this level (I had to use Ressurect on the archviles part and Give ammo on the very start.Also the everything placement is very very user hostile,yes it is nice that you get the rocket launcher early on,and the plasma gun is a nice complement,but really,the first blue armor,i only discovered it because i was looking for shells and i looked up,again,the bfg problem,even if i didn't see the spider mastermind,because i was in the easiest difficulty (I'm too young to die!),or because i just ignored it (I got 93% kills,completed it in ~10 minutes),and the fucking double barrel shotgun,are you kidding me?I only found it because i was searching for an exit or something in the cave,BY ACCIDENT,despise the weapon progression,very nice level,good architecture,it is challenging,but not unfair,i'd give a 8.5/10,keeping in mind i gave my favorite Megawad (Community Chest 3) a 9/10,you did a great job.

    Ahhh,you know what?I GIVE UP.I take my time and effort to make a map,thinking like this "Fine,let's see if the people in the doomworld forums like it" but EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME I UPLOAD YOU COMPLAIN IT IS NOT A PROFISSIONAL WAD LIKE ALIEN VENDETTA!Christ!Crucify me,but i don't like Alien Vendetta!These are my first maps,i am unfamiliarized with gzdoombuilder and you keep complaining that it is not a good wad!For God's sake!Why should i take a month and a stupid ammount of effort when you will probaly complain about the same thing!And about the "See what you like and adopt it in your own style",I WAS trying to do that in a wad i am making now,but i just deleted it because you would probaly complain about it!It is not like you're telling me how to fix my shit,you just expect me to learn from the nothing!I will finish a wad that i was doing but i discontinued it when i created this thread and fuck it all if what i get is "It is terrible,DOT",Give me a few days so i can make a good thing,okay?I am asking you DAYS,so even if it ends up sucking at least tell how to make it good!Tell me why it sucks and even give a good example of a nice wad you made!I am a little more calm at this point of the post because i know exactly what i want.

    I don't really want to make levels like that,i made that shit in 30 minutes,what i am thinking about doing,however,is less action,more exploring,but to make some progess in the level you must kill a lot of guys,and certain enemies(The stronger ones)will be needed to kill,has they open doors that leads to keys,switches and the exit etc..

    Locked switch in UDMF?

    The title says it,how do i make a switch that is locked in doom builder? In my level i want my player collect one key of each color and then go to a switch and press it,lowering a gate blocking the exit,i got it to work so far,but all i want to know now is about how to make it locked.

    Cool lighting effects tutorial!

    Something that really catches my attention in doom is it's lighting,it is very simple,yet super cool and manage to give and incredible ambiance to the level you are playing,however,begginers to engines like SLADE 3 and Doom builder (1,2,GZ...) often don't know how to do those,so here is a tutorial on it! 1st step:Create your sector: No need to explain here. 2nd step:Choose where the lighting will be: Also no explanation needed. 3rd step:Create a mini sector comming from your light source: Basically,this will be the place where the awesome lighting starts,so make it realistic,or try. http://imgur.com/w1fgG0s 4th step:Create the lighting: Very easy step indeed,open the sector menu and turn up the brightness. (Note that the effect will be better on darker rooms.) http://imgur.com/aDVw6sL 5th step (Optional):Add some detail: Let's all say it,a simple one sector bright area doesn't look nice,you must avoid it at all costs,but if you really can't,like in a part of my map because of linedefs confusion,it is tolerable.Get a new layer of lighting,a bit darker than the center,make it blink,do cool stuff!I don't want my light here in the example to blink because it is a goddamn candelabra but on things that make more sense,feel free to do it! http://imgur.com/E0YiWTp 6th step:Enjoy!!!     How do you make an invisible wall?

    I will try to be quick.I am trying to make a cool window with a fence blocking it and i did everything,mainly looking into my favourite megawad community chest 3,map 06.But i can't get the wall behind the fence to be invisible so that i can see trough,i want to make an awesome outdoors area that is acessible from a locked door,my format is GZDoom:Doom 2 UDMF and here is what i tried: -Setting the render style to translucent and changing alpha to 0 -Checking the Transparent box to see if it helps -Setting command 208 with alpha 0
