19 minutes ago, chemo said:There's this one recent Twitter thread from a former id Software employee, and when it comes to his own experiences with Marty he has nothing but positive things to say:
Now, if Cantero is being truthful, does this remove Marty of all possible guilt? Absolutely not, but I think it goes to show that there still might be more crucial info and context that we don't know of.
well this is getting really interesting now

god I have not been on this site for so long and this really tears me up to see an outstanding company like ID end up like this because of one man.

Maes said:Well, maybe we misunderstood, and the OP was asking about the most powerful song in the Doom metal genre? Or the most powerful metal tune in Doom's soundtrack?
actually most of you guys did misunderstand, what I mean by what is the strongest/metal in the doom universe is literally asking what form metal(like steel titanium, those stuff XP) in the doom universe is the strongest/toughest and if doomguy were to punch one of them, would he end up being able to punch through it or just end up breaking his hand. -
-
The thing that got me asking about this was because the doomguy is able to punch the cyber demon and spider mastermind to death with and without the beserkerpack (in the games other than doom 3 anyway)even though they have metallic parts attached to them and that those parts are able to withstand the temperature of hell without melting got me thinking on what they might be made of and if they are a fictional type of metal that was created or if there is something we can relate it to in the real world and if they were the toughest in the doom universe.
-
you know what just send it to hell if you feel like it doesn't belong here,I knew it was a stupid question but just decided to try and find out what the toughest metal was in the doom universe.
-
well it's just as the title says,I want to know what the strongest metal in doom is and if it is based on a real life metal or if it is a fictional metal and how strong it is and if doomguy is able to do any sort of damage to it.

Nah, I kid. I saw a Doomguy vs the master chief once; I think the master chief won. Which is bullshit because the slow ass MC would never be able to catch the Doomguy as he runs around at mach 2 hitscanning a slow moving target that lacks a run button while dodging what are ultimately only projectiles. You know what, I've put too much thought into this.
XD and I know that the fight was bullshit, but you can't argue with MC fanboys. -
Marcaek said:canon is for nerds
so if I were to say....have a debate about doomguy VS someone, how do you suppose I tell that person all of doomguys stats and abilities and all of his achievements? :P -

so all in all pretty much everything that ranges from books to the games(including the comic and DOOM movie)is canon to the doom lore and story line but just takes place in parallel universes or some other points in time
-
I know that something like this was asked some time ago and I did look at the thread but I still didn't get the answer I was looking for since it was just you guys posting your opinion on what you think is canon and what is not,but now I want a strait answer(as in what ID software considers canon to the DOOM story and what is not)as to what games and novels are officially canon to DOOM and if both the comic and movie are also canon.
Mick Gordon unlikely to work on another Doom game after Eternal’s OST release

bruh I leave this thread for sometime because not much ends up happening and when I come back thinking that something interesting actually happened it turns out to be literally nothing.
