What was the 1st website you ever visited?

Either altavista.com (just found out it no longer exists) or hotmail.com

    Art You No Longer Love

The Teletubbies. I tried watching it the other day and it wasn't as good as I thought it was back then.

    Anyone remember Minesweeper?

In the Win 3.1 days, I never learned how to play Minesweeper, so I'd just play games like Rodent's Revenge and Klotski instead.

Which games are you waiting for ?

Can't think of anything other than the Duke Nukem I and II remasters that are on Evercade. I'm hoping they will come to PC too.

Modern rerelease/port of Wolf 3D when?

I agree. Also the other Doom engine games (Heretic/Hexen) have also been overlooked for too long. Thankfully very good source ports exists for these games. Btw, I noticed a few weeks ago that they added a game selection screen in Wolf3D in the same style of the game menus. It's the same game running on DOSBox but they added that little thing at the beginning. I thought it was kinda cute.
  6. So I've been in a Wolf3D mood lately. After finishing Spear of Destiny (I'll probably skip the mission packs though) I'd like to try Blake Stone or Corridor 7, which seem to be the ones with the best reputation online. What do you guys think about those two games? Is there any other Wolf3D engine games you consider worth playing? Of course there's ROTT, which is great and I've played a lot.

    St. Anger isn't bad

I don't mind the drum sound that much, I think it gives the album a certain personality. But James angsty vocals are weird, and sound dishonest to me, like he's pretending too much. I kinda like the album. It has good moments, and the length and repetitiveness of the tracks make it a nice album to zone out to. I recommend getting the CD/DVD release. It was them performing all the songs (iirc) in the studio and they sound different. Plus you see James playing a 7 string which is cool and bizarre.

Do You Own a Device Capable of Playing Audio CDs?

I use the DVD drive in my PC mostly. I sometimes use a PS2, which I shouldn't do since they can break so easily.

What nostalgic games did you grow up with?

I grew up with DOS games. Since I've been replaying them from time to time as an adult, they don't feel as nostalgic anymore, because they don't "take me back" as much.

    Sonic the Hedgehog franchise discussion

I was excited when I read about the HD remakes of the classics, because the main issue for me with the Genesis titles is the low field of view. But then I started reading about all the bugs and stuff. My favorite one is probably the CD Remaster, beucase of the awesome "double" soundtrack. I don't have a problem with its level design.

What nostalgic games did you grow up with?

I kinda ruined a little my nostalgia for the games I grew up with, by playing them again many times as an adult.
  12. Crystal Caves no damage run (saveless), both the original and the remastered version. Pretty frustrating especially because I had covid at the time, but I was determined to make a video of it.
  13. The Last Ninja episode is probably the best one in recent years imo. That one also was written by James alone iirc.
  14. I thought it was pretty good. I wish they used footage of the original DOS game though, like they did in the Chex Quest episode. But overall I liked it.

Bits of doom that are scary?

The scariest moment was meeting a Demon for the first time in the E1M4 blue door maze (easy difficulty). Hearing the sounds was terryfing to the point I'd close the game. After a certain age (around 9 or so) I stopped being scared by games, with the exception of System Shock 2.
