So I decided to update my Firefox v42 that I've been using since I bought this laptop (Oct 2015). The autoupdater updated my trusty browser to v43, that went almost fine.

When I booted it up to feel the power of progress, I was faced with an unexpected surprise.

Some of my extensions were disabled because they lacked some certificate thing. Of course, all of them were the ones I actively use (Mind the Time, ImageBlock and Disconnect). The ones that I've completely forgotten about worked flawlessly. Yeah, that's life, I guess.

*ahem*

I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR GODDAMN CERTIFICATE CHECKS, YOU STUPID MENTALLY DISABLED FURRYFOX, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE, JUST LET ME USE THE GODDAMN INTERNET WITHOUT GOING BANKRUPT ALL THE TIME, IS THAT SO GODDAMN HARD?

After some searching in an infuriated state of mind, I did find an about:config option that disables the signing requirement. It felt weird to see the search engine's logo again, by the way.

 

Bad news: that option was removed in v48. Heh.

If you thought you're gonna make me update, fat chance.

 

I'd rather have Chinese h4x0rs snooping around my terrywad collection than spend 40 MB on just checking the latest DW shitposts due to Furryfox breaking my image-b10xXx0R, thank you very much.

 

Jesus Christ people, can't you make a decent browser? I think I'll have to finally learn proper programming and make one myself, and the world isn't ready for that yet. :]

 

Sorry for the incredibly long rant, I'm kinda pissed right now and need a place to express that. Also sorry for any brain damage I might've caused.
