  1. bzzrak messed up something again

Some time ago I booted up my computer and it started making a very loud beeping noise, then I just restarted it and it now works as normal. Apparently.

    But the question is:

why the hell did it beep?

    Should I be worried?

Fortunately you heard that and not 3 short beeps (that indicates a faulty RAM)

Dark, sad, hard memories came to my mind, and my old computer's corpse is still by my side :(

      (literally, it's on my right)

It could have just been a one-off occurrence, but just in case it was alerting you of some fault, I'd do what 42 suggested and back up any valued files. I've started up my computer in the past and heard a super loud beeping as well, but it was usually a false alarm, a key stuck down on the keyboard or something dumb like that. Still, it can't hurt to play it safe.

Story of my life. My laptop keeps doing that sound every now and then. Hell, the other day it wasn't even able to do the beeping sound correctly and it sounded like a scream of agony (I'm serious) and games lag out of nowhere (ZDoom froze for like 5 full seconds some time ago).

It kinda terrifies me, to be honest.
