    Worried about snapmap update...

    If its just 30 modules, my guess is that the hell theme will have it's own entire category of modules titled "HELL." That way, you can put both hell and UAC modules together, without having the cumbersome restriction of changing an entire category. At least i hope it's this.

    Loving how grateful the comments are in the video, of how much they appreciate the free things we're getting for snapmap and multiplayer. Oh wait. They're still bitching and whining for singleplayer content, which is much harder to add in than multiplayer/snapmap content. Sometimes i wonder why i ever read them. I guess it's a guilty pleasure...

    This update is getting us:HELL THEMES, FINALLY. With props to boot! Jump pads More weapons (i thinks) Another demon to play as besides the Baron More fixes on logic.AND FINALLY the damn weapon wheel! Having that is satisfying enough. The universal ammo will always be a stingy thing, but not a dealbreaker. I'm happy for what we got. I doubt they "screwed up." And even if it's not fix, a new generous FREE update will fix this issue in the future!
  4. Any story mission of F-Zero GX. Especially on VERY HARD MODE. No game will ever top frustration value that those fucking missions to me. Funny enough the first story mission is the absolute hardest!! Time limit, perfect driving, and a single bump to a wall will end your run. Holy fuck, that was some bullshit. ALL SO I CAN COMPLETE THE RACING ROSTER. Also any puzzle God of War ever spat out. ESPECIALLY IF THEY'RE UNDERWATER.

    That Weapon Wheel is going to drastically change how every map in Snapmap are going to be made. Hell, i think it'll make any map without it obsolete. But then i wonder if you can put EVERY weapon snapmap has to offer into the wheel, or only 8 of them at once before you start dropping guns. Only tomorrow we will FIND OUT. Still, EXCELLENT UPDATE. Also making everything free will lead to no profits towards the company making said product, so that argument is stupid as fuck. Harvester isn't free, and i'm fine with that. Besides, he looks boring to play compare to Prowler and Baron anyway!

    SnapMap Wishlist?

    This is probably a thing i only want but i always wanted this: Have AS MUCH MODULES/ENEMIES/WHATEVER be placed in the map, even if it exceeds over 100%. BUT the map will not be able to be tested if any value exceeds 100%. This will help me TREMENDOUSLY for in case i ever need to move logic strings to another module, but memory usage would not allow so, because another module would exceed memory count. Imagine: you put a lot of shit in one room, but found a better room to put said shit. But the memory caps does not allow another module to be placed. Also i want demon-specific proxies, like {IF Imp dies} or {IF Baron spawns}. And enemy color changing options. Like a red mancubus or white pinky. OR A PINK BARON.

    When Hell Freezes Over [W7ALF4PE]

    Oh boy.... This one was a rough one. It HAS IT'S ENJOYMENTS. But that enjoyment leaves me off unsastified at the end of it. Cause problems. Gameplay: 2/5 – Ammo. The lack of this made every fight ANNOYING. Like even with glory kills, no ammo drops. This is FUCKING problematic in a map that boasts more enemies that the amount of ammo you have to kill them with! I ran out half the time in EVERY FIGHT. Also weapon don’t stay after death really made this a chore to go through. Difficulty: 3/5 – Every fight is tougher than the last, whether the reasons for it are justified or not. Gradual difficulty is always welcome, and its great you gain more health and armor stats every fights. Map Design: 4/5 – Barren maps, but they were designed to be arenas, not show floors. It has no bothersome prop to get in the way, and that’s ok! Sound: 3/5 – The battle music drags on especially in battles that you’re losing at. I like that there’s different music! But they lose their luster as matches go on. Uniqueness: 3/5 – This map is pretty great for what it is. At first. After the 3rd so fight, the fights just start to get tiring and even frustrating. Too many barons and stuff, that the matches start to become a blur of each other. You can’t have too much of a good thing. Also not keeping weapons after death is goddamn stupid. Especially in hectic battles like this. Technicality: 4/5 – Checkpoints are great, no matter the map they’re in. Stat boost are a neat idea too. Good use of POI! THIS MAP NEEDS EITHER AMMO OR KEEP GUNS AFTER DEATH. Dying because you had the weaker weapon or no ammo to fire is never a satistfying way to die. Especially in tough onslaughts like this one. It's good for what it is, but can be improved to be replayable over and over. It's just as of now, it's a blast of fun that slowly fades away.

    My new map Assassination

    This map... It can be done better. This is your first map. Still, my review will be harsh. Gameplay: 2/5: Basic combat. Just imps, zombies, and lost souls. Only one mancubus/revenant take in, and the fights were too generic to me. More hellknights and other tough enemies can spice the battle up Difficulty: 2/5: I never died once. And the battle never spiked into either too easy or too hard (except for the mancubus part) Doesn’t help that the map was mostly zombies and imps. Map Design: 2/5: I like some of the rooms’ props! But I think like 2-3 modules only had that. The rest were basic, empty rooms, without much in it. Sound: 2/5: One track music is better than no track, but DAMN I need more! Music that turns to combat when a battle shows in or something! Uniqueness: 1/5: I’m sorry, but this map cannot be differentiated from any other map I can find by random. It has simple battles, with simple logic, with a simple objective of kill and win. Without difficulty. Well, it is a first map. Technicality: 3/5: The map didn’t break! But there’s no new logic ideas that make this map technically superior to others. I saw nothing that stood out in terms of coding. Don't take this as an insult, but more of a guide of what you can do to make your map better. It is your first. And there's room for improvement.

    Logic Mechanics you've created!

    Gave your map a run through, and i really love the ugrade mechanic you had going. The map also had some sick usage of cameras! That said, the map as a whole is ok. I had an idea how to make upgrades already, but this gave me some new ideas on what can be done. Good stuff!

    Hello one and all! Welcome to the Potato’s critique corner and fun maps list! VERY FUN MAPS! I decided to make this thread for 2 reasons:ONE – to have a go-to list of favorite maps I can refer to replay, OR for other players to enjoy! I’m quite surprised such a thread hasn’t been done yet: of a thread that contains the best snapmaps in the forums and other places! This includes maps in Snapmaphub.com (which I have yet to try), maps in this lovely forum, or just maps I came across in Doom itself! TWO – to be a spot for people to send me maps to try! There’s a bunch of maps people here have created, and I want to get the chance to play them whenever possible!! My motto goes “If you have the time to make it, I have the time to play it” Cause having no one play your map sucks! I KNOW! When I’m done playing said map, I’ll give a critique of how I experienced the map! NOW REMEMBER: this is what I, ME, MYSELF, AND I, see as fun, which can differ from person to person. I’ve been doing reviews of other people’s map, which depicts how I critique maps (and why I’m motivated to do this thread to begin with). I critique things in my wording, which can sometimes feel insulting. It sucks that’s how I give honest, true-to-heart opinions of how I feel of a map. These critiques are NOT to say your map is shit, no! It’s just to say what can be done better. What ideas/opinions I can bestow to help your maps become greater. If there’s a bug, I’ll tell it. If there’s a boring part of a segment, I’ll mention it. I tell whatever needs improvement, or whatever part of the map impressed me. This is how I critique:I hope that this thread of collective reviews/list of fun maps can help spark the other people who made the maps to get more people try them out. That’s a tongue twister, but in a nutshell: I play maps to have fun with them, and with this thread, give more publicity to said maps. I will play more maps as I go, whether from repliers of this thread, or just others from the Snapmap thread itself!

    So here's Clan's logic: "Doom is fun in any console! So I'll belittle you on playing Doom on the wrong console!" Here's the thing: Is Doom fun on PC? Yes! Is Doom fun on Xbox? YES! Is Doom fun on the PS4??? It doesn't matter what you play Doom on! As long as it was fun! I play Doom on PS4 cause i had no other console that can play Doom! It just sucks that PC has a launcher option but not the consoles. This nitpick of a thread has turn into a shitstorm all because some guy must always show his PC "superiority" over everyone else. Just enjoy Doom, ok? it's got faults here and there on different systems, but it isn't something to insult others for. All because they have a different system. Clan is smart.

  15. Anything you guys have learned of things from others, relatives, or just yourself, that fall into these categories. Things like "Walking under the ladder = bad luck" or "punch someone on the shoulder for every year they have on birthdays" or "Rabbit foot = good luck". This can vary from country to country, from what i've heard, so it would be interesting to hear these kinds of talks! The one i always believed is the age-old breaking the mirror. Never want to break that shit.

    Logic Mechanics you've created!

    User Input 1 and 2 are buttons not ever given commands in Snapmap. On PS4. it's Square [Input 1] and L3 [Input 2]. These commands do not do any other command unless given some by coding. Hence, my first post. However you CAN put other button commands, such as the fire button and the use/interact button, have logic strings to it. But they will still cause the buttons to do their original command, AND the logic code you gave it. So with my little idea, Square causes a help icon pop over a player's head.
