  1. Well, 1 year in and it's sad that SnapMap online is so dead and that there are barely any mappers in the community. All the chats are dead on Discord. Makes me not want to make my third SnapMap.
  2. Considering we've went from buying game discs in stores to buying a box with a download code on a piece of paper I'd say the chances are pretty high. Sad.
  3. Can anybody test the enemies and music in my map to make sure it flows well with no glitches? If you want, make some edits to it and I'll look at it The ID is ATBVAYYW. Appreciate it and I'll do the same for others who want their maps looked at for critique and errors/bugs, whatever. For some reason the music is acting all weird, the enemies and waves don't even spawn properly. The network percentage is maxed out so that might have something to do with it but I'm not entirely sure.
  4. Less bitching. More map making and collaborating.
  5. https://discord.gg/7Cb2bdY Welcome This is a NO non-sense channel. You must be dedicated to making SnapMaps and playing DOOM 4. All matches are EST time. Miss the one match we have every Saturday 3 times and you're out. Rules - Anything goes - No political correctness of any sort - Swear, post pictures of NSFW shit but NOTHING involving children or animals
  6. Is there anybody who wants to collab on SnapMaps and play deathmatches together regularly?
  7. I just dragged it.
  8. Nevermind. I got it.
  9. Is there a video tutorial for this or something?
  10. Thanks.
  11. I'm new to editing and WAD's so spare me here, but how do you play the WAD's that other people have made? Thanks.
  12. Well, I'm using Doom Builder with GZDOOM and following Chubbz Tutorials and this is really fun. Super accessible. Much easier to understand than SnapMap's logic System. I think I'm going to stick with mapping for Doom 2. Thanks for all your help.
  13. Doom 1 and 2's editors are just right. There can be a happy medium you know.
  14. Begin your drawing by clicking with the right mouse button at the point indicated in Figure 1.2. The exact location of your first click does not matter, but you should allow space for drawing to the right of (and also a little to the left of) and below your starting position. You can, of course, scroll the display later if you find that you need more space, but life may be a little easier if you plan not to have to! Having placed the first point of your map, move the mouse to the right and draw a horizontal line (Angle: 90) that is 900 units or so long. (Do not worry if GZDB won’t let you have a line of exactly 900 units. This is normal.) This is line 1. Now add successive lines of the lengths and angles given in Table 1.1. Again, don’t worry about getting the values precisely as specified. This part confused me^ I don't know what the values in the table represent and where to look.
  15. It's feature rich but at what cost? All the freedom is taken AWAY from the player. That's not what makes for a good game. The reason DOOM has lasted as long as it has is because of it's mod community.
