Why do I get a point against me for having a video, from this community that smears me? Fuck you Mordeth!

Bwahahahaha
Too bad slavery is illegal, because owning people is kind of fun. -
Someone is using my online nickname to make posts that would be offensive to someone who is a homophobic, kink-shaming, bigot. They keep projecting their personal fears on to me in attempt to stir up some sort of drama. If I had to guess, it'd be either by some conviluted extension of my ex-girfriend (which I doubt) or some Nazi from Facebook or Doomworld. Funny thing is they've used a topic that I've joked about in the past, so it feels a little stalkerish.
I know my name's ennui, but geez louise. Someone's more bored than me, evidently. I couldln't imagine wasting the 30 seconds it takes to register a porn video and then searching these highly specific videos and making comments like these. Kudos. You were clearly burned on the asshole with cigars when you were a baby. -
If you like realistic-ish WW2 shooters, check out, "Day of Infamy"
It happens to be on sale right now on Steam. -
Has anyone here used a Udoo? I'm really impressed by what I've seen, but I've never used a Raspberry Pi or anything like that.
-
At first I thought that you misspelled the drum (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Udu), but then the second sentence does not make any sense. ;-)
I've got an old Raspberry Pi hooked up to the TV. I'm thinking about upgrading to the newest version.
I would be interested in opinions about similar computers.

I didn't know Raven Software made this. Neato. -
If you do Ryzen, spend the extra on the Samsung B-Die (c14). Save yourself a headache. Oh My Fudgin' Gosh.

Can someone please help me get Quakespasm working? I tried putting the pak0.pak and pak1.pak files into id1 folder and placing that inside of Quakespasm folder, but that didn't do anything.
I get an error about QS, not being able to, "load gfx.wad". I found the error on google, followed the directions and it still wouldn't work.

are you still having issues @everennui?

I heard the opposite. So, I lowercased them... then read that, that was for linux. I use Windows 10. The only thing I can think of is maybe it's because it's x86? Maybe? I haven't been able to mess around with it too much for the last couple of hours. I tried Dark Places, too, but I don't have any luck with that either. I'm trying to think of a way that I can install it in C:\program files\... (not C:\program files (x86)\...) without messing with my other applications. I don't feel like having a convoluted fake directory for it.
I'll be able to check it out in about 15 minutes or so when I get back home.

PC Update:
I'm writing from my new PC. I have the newest BIOS/UEFI, Video drivers and Malwarebytes installed. CPU is OC'd to 3.825 running at 1.32v. Cinebench was 18.35
Got Doom II: Heck on the Planet Earth ( @bonnie sorry, I had to steal it) running on this baby. (If anyone's curious, it runs pretty darn good.)
Still need to get a monitor. -
Just waiting on the PSU.

There are a few different profiles that I can use for it, so I figure that I'll just underclock it using Game Mode in the GPU (bios?).
I'm very used to running a bottleneck, so I'm not too worried about it in the short term, but I don't really update very often and I want to get every minute out of this as I can. A bottleneck will make your video card work harder, and that's never optimal. The harm is probably negligble, but I'm going to try and optimize it as much as I can and mitigate any heat problems as much as I can.

Is this close enough?
The RAM that I picked, F4-3200C16D-16GTZR
The QVL Support says, F4-3200C16D-16GVKB
None of the RAM on Amazon matches the last 4 letters of the RAM on the motherboard manufacturers QVL.

Minnesota is #1 in the country for ACT scores. Again! Colorado is #2 and Wisconsin is #3.

My RAM is defective (I think.) Sending it back. ASRock told me to send back the mobo, too. I'm still kind of mad about everything, but overall they were really helpful over the phone.
On top of everything, NVidia just raised prices on their cards 10% because of a GDDR5 shortage.
-
Alright. At some point they came in packs of 1. So people would add something that was uneven such as you have two 8 GB, but if you had a 4 GB and an 8 GB that would cause crashes or id did a decade ago. Working IT I learned each time I hear "bad RAM after upgrade" I always fall back on a RAM mismatch.
-
So despite my RAM being on the x370 Taichi's QVL - it's not working! I am pissed. ASRock told me they're having issues with it.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.

Why is it that the only people who play Deathmatch are the one's who can destroy you two seconds after you spawn?
I guess the question answers itself.- Show previous comments 36 more

So uhh.. Aside from the shitstorm above,
Its a shame you don't find DM fun. I started DMing online when I was super young and I got my ass handed to me at first but after a few sessions, you start realizing how little you really knew about navigating and strategizing in Doom despite feeling like a good player. There's a shocking amoung of naunce when you get right down to it. You learn to do little things like SR40 diagonally the instant you spawn since the high speed makes your enemy less likely to hit. You learn to wait a different amount of time before respawning on each death. Depending on the server and map, you might even have certain spawns (ones facing west) be silent which adds a whole other layer to your approach. This is all strategy just for spawning, the reality is there's a whooole lot of little skills like that involved in PVP Dooming which you can hone and add up over time. Improving as a player is part of what's kept me here for so long (I say that, but I'm probably only a big better than I was when I was like 13)
Anyway, if you ever get to the point where those some old Doom AI antics over and over and over again start to feel stale and you really want to put your skills to the test, maybe you'll consider giving DM another shot. If not, hey, that's cool too. It's hectic, fast-paced and challenging and I know some people genuinely aren't really into that kind of thing in their games, different strokes and all that.
