  1. I was finally successful in a job application for a Helpdesk support role.

I've been trying to get into IT for awhile now, I think I was aiming too high (going for 2nd/3rd level support). I knew I could do it (I know my stuff and am confident in my abilities), but the prospective employers didn't. Shame it took me a year and a half to realize this.

Although judging by the comments by the recruitment agency, I wont have to do helpdesk for long (maybe six months) and I'll be advancing along the career ladder rather quickly.

I got my first interview on my third ever attempt for a job. But I failed that horribly (I've got confidence issues and my eyes were flicking all over the place and I was stuttering badly) and for the last month I've had no love at all.
      :( Good luck my brothers.

Well, my job's not as cool, but I just finished my second day doing stock work at my local Zellers. I was job searching for a good four months until I got that job, so I was pretty grateful when I got it.

Being the metal freak that I am, I'll probably be blowing my entire first (and maybe my second) paycheck on all the CDs I've intended to buy in those last four months.

ive only ever had 2 job interviews. the first i wussed out in the last minute and didn't go. the second was in this really beautiful building that made me feel totally inferior in.
i guess looking for work is hard when you have the qualifications like that of a 7 year old.
