    Well, dang Tuo, I'll be damned. I couldn't find one before around June. :) lol Still, the point is still that this late in development, we're stuck with it. I personally don't mind the new Cyberdemon design, it's a lot better than the Horsebot in Doom 3. :P

    Oldest post I could find was from last summer... Most people didnlt start jumping on the hate wagon and calling it a moose until a couple months ago when the cybermoose pic was posted, but months = years I guess.

    Agreed. I was going to do a review, but decided I didn't want any part of pushing my opinion, one way or the other, on people. I also want my channel to be all about gameplay, not those recycled "Info/Breakdown/Comparison" videos that are regurgitated every week that most games have.

People had 2 years to give feedback, but instead went, "Yay! Doom!" And right before the game's going to launch, people get all nit-picky. Lol. Really does crack me up.

    Yeah, but the Cyberdemon at E3 roared and it was much more of a bellowing, angry roar. It could have been replaced or something, we'll have to see. Personally, I don't mind the new "Cyber-Demon" look, but to see something closer to the original, just watch the Teaser Trailer. I think there's going to be one Classic-Style CyberDemon and it's going to be a mini-boss or something.

    I used to rake leaves, clean gutters, shovel snow, trim hedges, etc when I was 10-15 years old so I could buy the things I wanted. Kids be lazy these days ;P

    Creating the Doom 4 we wanted

    Nah, modifying the engine is way more difficult than you think. What you proposed here is basically creating a classic Doom-themed total conversion mod. I was entertaining the idea of creating an homage to Knee Deep in the Dead in UE4 with classic gameplay, super high-res sprites, and higher-quality sounds... But I just don't have the time these days for a project that massive.

    Could Quake fanboys kill the PC version of Doom?

    If they do, they'll screw themselves. If the first arena-based fps to be released in such a long time bombs epicly badly, it will be a very,very long time before any major developer will make any attempt to develop another arena shooter. Then the next Quake is that much farther away, if it even gets made.

    Project Hellraiser (Working Title)

    Thanks for the critique. :) The Blood Demon is definitely a placeholder for a variant of the Demon I want to make that has cybernetic armor. I just needed a tougher-to-kill demon for now. :) I will say that I like the CacoLantern and am a huge fan of the CacoLich. The room architecture I already knew would look pretty bland, but it was an industrial space + welcome center (lobby area)and I wanted it to feel simplistic and utilitarian. The sewers will tend towards a lot of tunnels and pipeways, high tech labs will look very angular and... high-tech? lol I am toying with a lot of unfamiliar functions to figure out what I want my version of hell to look like. Thinking some sort of really dark areas, lots of smoke and generally creepy instead of all out fire and brimstone, I want to save that for some epic stage to fight a new Icon of Sin. I noticed on a watch-through I have a few textures still not aligned too... *Shakes fist* Those things kill me whenever I see them. Yeah, I have a lot of work ahead.

    I have been plinking away at this in GZDoom Builder for about three weeks and am finally okay with sharing a video of me trouncing around the first map. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TozcS87dHps I will be changing out quite a few of the enemies and adding some custom weapons down the line, but I'm a bit rusty at Doom modding, so bear with me. lol The basic storyline of the "MegaWad" (Only slated to be 20-24 maps at the moment)is: A secret UAC facility in Antarctica continued their portal research under more controlled conditions, but the results were the same... sort-of. Later (not that I have any way to convey this in-game without bogging down the slaughter), you'll find out that the Mastermind's race of demons in combination with a group of Elder Archviles have combined forces to resurrect the Icon of Sin, so you must travel to Hell and kill them all again. Rip and tear, rip and tear... lol Let me know what you guys think. :)

    I thought SnapMap was going to have different Modes, including CoOp and Multiplayer. If so, various modes with probably have different limitations, like up to 8 player multiplayer at the cost of map size and less placeable pickups.
