YES YES YES! Excellent! Also, Naglfar's "Diabolical". Bit of a bitch to find now, like all GOOD blackness, but quite nice.

/me sighs God, I miss this forum. Too bad school takes up all my fucking time.

I will use the few off posts I get on DW a year to answer this question (school keeps me too goddamned busy). By all means, take a break if fatigue sets in. Keep in mind, though, one day off becomes two, becomes five, then a week, then you've got a piece of nearly finished work on your hands that you can't motivate yourself to complete.

They appeared in the page itself, probably Firefox's damned fault.

Here's where I'd say "it's funny cuz it's true" except it isn't really funny. It's more tragic and dangerous to the gaming community. Let's blame something other than games for once...

Nice submission, beyond the & n b s p things (yuck, fix those). I haven't had too much success doing prose, so I guess it's back to fiction I go. I don't think I'll be able to beat that story, though.

I've tried (to find it on the internet, not play Doom to it), but to no avail... other than a 500MB BitTorrent thing. I sit on a slow modem, and won't waste a full CDR for 500 megs of one CD.

Wasn't that the plot of a GWAR show? -
Worth it even at that res. Plus anything on its hosting site. Badassedness occurs.

Yes, but living in the US, the import costs on that CD total up to MORE THAN THE DAMN GAME. $30.

Badass. Officially my new wallpaper.

Just because nobody understands it doesn't make it poetry. Go read some of that wickedly awful poetry on the goth forums. I reject your :p and substitute boxing kirby. o-(-_-Q) (moronic grin) Anyway, keep writing Comiclez.

If only one could rip the weird-ass music outta Katamari Damacy, that would make one seriously cracked-out Doom experience.
-
Cool. I'm rereading two translations of the Divine Comedy at once and playing a little Doom for inspiration. If all goes well, I can write up something with a good flow.
-
Decent. The rhythm is a little off in places, but otherwise it flows smoothly. Favorite line: And so, as chainguns, shotguns, and flesh Fell to the floor The evil left the corrupted And their fiery eyes became a dormant blue I enjoyed that part most, though maybe a little more clarity would be nice. Are they dying, as I assume, or are they being purified? Anyway, not a bad effort.

Yeah, I know Icarus isn't exactly a conducive recording environment as is Scythe or Hell Revealed, but you must admit that a movie of such would be lots of fun to watch.
-
Hmm, prose. If I could force forth some ideas, Dante's Inferno would transplant well into Doom. After all, Dr. Sleep did it. Picture Dante following the Doom guy around E1M8, those mountains in the back... inspiration sometimes strikes me. Maybe I'm not as 'writing-blocked' as I thought. Might wanna get in on this. Or, if this idea is a bad one, I might not.

Well, I guess your avatar is forbidden then. Offended by skulls? Wow, I hate this. Had they found that novel pre-Columbine, I'd still have it. -
Woo! Neatness! I wanna see someone do a movie. AFAIK, there isn't one. If some talented recorder would undertake one, that would rock. I know requesting something big like this isn't polite or smart, though, so I leave with saying Icarus is good, and these demos are teh cool.

I've talked to a few people about this, and as I've heard it, the school wanted to keep it for my permanent file. Henceforth, the odds are quite good it's gone forever. At the very least, there is new administration now that doesn't hold these things against me, so they aren't watching my every move now. Nonetheless, this isn't a fun thing to have happen to you. What lesson should you learn from this? Don't share your work with anyone. Especially at school. EDIT: I'm not far off from graduation now, so maybe I'll get it back, along with whatever else they're keeping. Not likely, but I'm hoping. -
First album (self titled) = rocked Toxicity = didn't rock as much, but still rocked Steal This Album = rocked in some places This double album = hopefully rocks everywhere

I've dealt with this shit more than once. The joys of overparanoid highschools. They had me arrested for my writings, not even related to the school at all. It was Lovecraftian/cult stuff, and so not only did they arrest me, file me, force me to get a psych's letter to come back to school, put me on meds, AND put me in alt school for 2 weeks... they also sent 3 of my friends who are actually not like me at all home from school for 2 days for being involved in "cultlike activities". I wrote a novel. Apparently, some kid who I let read some of it (Mormon bastard) got a little freaked out, thought I took it seriously, and reported me. Next day I get dragged into the office with 3 administrative people and the school rent-a-cop. Here's how the dialog went: "We hear you're into a religion. Something very disturbing. We hear you've been trying to get other people involved in this cult of yours." "No, I-" "-SIT DOWN! We're searching your bags." So they did. They found my novel in progress (120 pages, college ruled paper, handwritten) and a script for a zombie movie (35 pages, typed). This was apparently a "large collection of disturbing and violent material". I then got hauled out to the juvenile center (16 at the time). After we had a long serious talk, I guess they determined I wasn't dangerous. The administration still didn't feel that way, but whatever. I never got that novel back, and since then I haven't been able to write anything. It's like a mental block. I was seriously traumatized. I hate schools. -
Yeah, sinking guilt and rage. It plays now, but leaves a solid field of scratches from the burn line of a CDR outward. Damn, I feel really really stupid.

I know it takes effort. I never said it was an effortless process, and I certainly don't think it guarantees a perfect run. It's just a different standard. I'm not defending or attacking anything, I'm just giving my opinion. Either way, it is pretty cool how we people of differing opinions can get into non-arguing discussions like this. :)
-
Well, never said you didn't have a point. However, I personally prefer the non-TAS stuff, but as you said, to each his own. Either way, there's entertainment all over the place. Just watch something, no matter whether TAS or not. :D
