Adam Garthwaite sent word that he has abandoned his TFC project because of lack of manpower. Instead he will focus on posting his graphics patches and levels at his site (you can find a new one there already).

Doomworld now makes use of 3D Downloads for all their download links, instead of old tux.telefragged.com which will be taken down in the near future. All our resource sections have been overhauled to reflect his change, but it might be possible that we've overlooked some links or have broken something else in the proces... let us know if you find such bugs, and we'll be right on top of it.

... Of course, only our download script has changed. Meaning the actual files are still on the exact same server they were before, so don't blame us for your bad connect that day :)

Almost missed this one... Andreas Dehmel has released v4.1 of his RISC OS port Doom It Yourself. New in this release is a rewritten ARM assembler plotter, new naming conventions, (optionally) resampled sound effects, and a more efficient sprite plotting. This Boom compatible source port now also falls under the GPL license. You can get the source mirrored at our source port section as usual.

It's a very good evening for demo watchers tonight... the Public Dang has posted a lot of new demo's as well... a total of 101 to be exact. Combine this with the fact that some of those are COMPET-N records as well, and you know you want to have this.
-
The COMPET-N site has yet again been updated with another batch of great recordbreaking demo's. Download and you'll have something to watch all evening long! Also, the rules for so-called 'double entries' (euh...) have changed, so check out the site for more information.

The Co-Op Certification Laboratory has looked into using Voice-Over-IP software for ZDoom games. These programs allow you to actually talk to your human opponents during cooperative or deathmatch games. In a detailed five page report they inform the public about how to set up Roger Wilco, TeamSound, First Contact and BattleCom for ZDoom, and how testing these programs turned out. If that wasn't enough they have also reorganised part of their site, and have added a lof of content.

Thomas Sturm has posted news about his Desktop Doom screensaver, which can be used with DoomBot 4.0 or ZCajun. He's also boasting about his new computer's specs, heh.

The Kill project now has its own level editor as well. KillEd is a rewrite of DEU, fixing the linedef/sector specials menu's, as well as support for the actual megawad itself.

Version 2.00 of the multiplayer program Kali has been released. It already had support for (Ultimate) Doom and Doom II, but it now has also added support for ZDoom. Great news! Thanks Tyson Anderson for the info, and keep on Doomin' :)
