I don't understand, why would punching a Cyberdemon with a Berserk pack be harder than without when a Berserker Pack increases the damage you do? Was also wondering how many punches it takes to kill a Cyberdemon with and without a Berserker pack?

I'm looking for any Doom books worth getting excluding fiction. I'm not interested in books about Doom 3 and onwards, only books about the original Doom games. Are any of these editing books any good? I realise some of the editing methods and tools will be out of date but I think the theory of how to create good levels will still be useful info as I haven't seen much info online about how to create good maps. 3D Game Alchemy for Doom, Doom II, Heretic, and Hexen The Doom Construction Kit: Mastering and Modifying Doom. Only the CD that came with the book is on Archive.org. The actual book PDF isn't on the CD. The Doom Game Editor. The CD on Archive.org doesn't have the book on it. The Doom Hacker's Guide. The CD on Archive.org doesn't have the book on it. Tricks of the Doom Gurus Apparently 3D Game Alchemy is considered the second edition of "Tricks of the Doom Gurus" and a copy is included with the Level Master II compilation. So there's no point in getting Tricks of the Doom Gurus. However I downloaded the Instant Doom Levels - Level Master II CD from Archive.org and the ebook on the CD says it's "Tricks of the Doom Gurus First Edition" NOT 3D Game Alchemy and it's 896 pages long. I thought it was supposed to be the 2nd edition? Also none of the page numbers it mentioned in the contents of the PDF are accurate. I downloaded the "3D Game Alchemy" CD from Archive.org but the ebook on the CD is only 56 pages long. The physical book is 750 pages long.

I know there was a free poster with Doom 3 BFG Edition on Xbox 360 and PS3. What was the size of it? Were there any others that were free or could be bought?

Here's a picture of the Ultimate Doom official folded poster: The above official poster has the bottom half of the Doom logo in yellow. But all the reprints without folds on them have that part in orange and the orange doesn't look right. Such as the poster download from here as shown below: https://github.com/fragglet/doom-cover-art/blob/master/posters/DoomPoster.jpg Should the Doom logo be orange or yellow? Apart from the colour of the yellow Doom logo I think the yellow logo looks better but I can't put my finger on it as to why that is. Is there anywhere I can download the correct looking poster or buy one? I've looked on Ebay and Etsy but they're all using the orange coloured logo. Is there anywhere to buy or download a poster that does NOT have the black background? Is there any poster that doesn't have the ID logo? Why does the Thy Flesh Consumed poster have a pink colour in USA where the game was made yet Europe gets the red colour. The poster in the ID office is red.

OK thanks. Can anybody help with answers to these questions please: Is there anywhere to buy or download a poster that does NOT have the black background? Is there any poster that doesn't have the ID logo? Why does The Ultimate Doom: Thy Flesh Consumed poster have a pink colour in USA where the game was made yet Europe gets the red colour. The poster in the ID office is red.

Where can you get officially licensed doom posters? I'm only interested in posters of the original Doom game - the iconic Doom boxart. Doom 3: BFG Edition on PS3 comes with a free poster but I don't know the dimensions of it.
-
Where do you get the official Doom Posters?

Thanks. I've already got that image but it's not much good to me as there's no way for me to print it onto 1 piece of paper. -
This is Death Pact Level 1 (Blood Pit). I really like the music, got an epic feeling to it. The guy who posted the video said in the comments that the music is "Catastrophy - Sean Hodges" but I can't find any reference to that via Google. So does anyone know where the music is from and what is the licence for it or the WAD? Also is the Death Pact WAD on any download site or is it just a work in progress as I can't find it on Doomworld or www.wad-archive.com?
-
Many thanks.

Says you who didn't check that the link is broken! That site just says "This site can’t be reached". What did you search for to even find that? I searched for "Catastrophy - Sean Hodges" like I said and I can't even find that on Google in the first 2 pages. I'm not using Private Search and I even tried changing my region to USA. Does anybody else know where the music is from?

If I rename a WAD in Windows Explorer will that cause any problems?
-
What WADs can't be renamed and why?
-
Thanks

So there's no decent Doom editing or strategy guide books?
-
The Doom Wiki says this: Is that a good thing or a bad thing and why?

What do you mean if I haven't modified it? Do you know if No Rest for the Living has the removal of the red cross symbol on medpacks and berserker packs when I play it in GZDoom?
-
Thanks. So if I use GZDoom does that mean that No Rest for the living will play 100% correctly so the sound track, par times, and level progression will be correct? This is off topic, but I was wondering why email notifications on the forum are disabled? How do I get a notification of a new post?

I'm trying to figure out what the best versions of the game and expansions are that I should get. I was looking at the Duke Nukem 3D Wikipedia page and there are several editions and expansions listed. It seems I would need to get all of the following: Duke Nukem 3D 20th Anniversary World Tour since main game has extra episode not available in earlier packs. Megaton Edition since expansions will likely have better graphics just like the main game does. Duke: The Apocalypse for Duke!ZONE 1 & II and Duke Xtreme expansions. Duke Assault Expansion: This isn't in any of the game packs Duke Nukem's Penthouse Paradise Expansion: This isn't in any of the game packs Duke - It's Zero Hour Expansion: This isn't in any of the game packs. Is that correct? Also I was wondering if the Megaton Edition has improved graphics for just the main game or is it also for the expansions in the pack as well? Same question for the Kill-a-Ton GOG Collection (2015)?

Thanks guys. Does anyone know if the Megaton Edition has improved graphics for just the main game or is it also for the expansions in the pack as well? Same question for the Kill-a-Ton GOG Collection (2015)?
