what are you working on? I wanna see your wads.

Out of all the rooms I made today this is probably one of my favorites.

    Doom II: Dark World [v1.0]

The idea behind of this set of levels was to remake the first eleven episodes of Doom 2 but to be harder and have a hellish landscape. While the mapper did an excellent job in making nice looking hell inspired levels they did not do as well when it comes to the overall difficulty. This won't be a walk in the park for less experienced Doom players, but will be easy for those who know the vanilla maps and are used to the more difficult user levels. Recommended for those who want to see a nice hell level inspired rendition of early Doom 2 levels.

Magikus, a chex TC designed by children

I’ve played through this after the first time you posted about it on the /vr/ thread. Overall great work and makes me wish I had something like this when I was a kid in school.

    Confinement Community Project

Not for the claustrophobic, this set of maps manage to work well despite how small they are. Each map plays very well with the only hang up for me being map13. The difficulty definitely increases throughout the WAD but still remains fair. I recommend this to anyone who wants to play a good yet short series of maps.

Map03 from Lost Civilization. One of the few level sets I found that manage to look great and play decent.

    Your thoughts on TNT Evilution

It took me some time to get through TNT, my first attempt was in the second half of 2015 but I never sat down and went through the whole thing until March of last year. I would usually stop at or around map08 because at the time I found that map to be a chore to get through due to the end arena, however, once I got my some experience under my belt I managed to breeze through the rest of TNT. Well, it was not too difficult for me but there were still a couple instances where I managed to get held up yet was able prevail in the hope of finishing Final Doom. If this wasn't an IWAD I probably would of dropped it early on and looked the other way. I don't hate TNT but I just believe Plutonia is better since that has better level design in my opinion.

    I made this in photoshop.

My first map (for Doom 2) + Dropbox download link

For a first map the quality is pretty good, however there are a few things I noticed that could be improved upon. As mentioned earlier the invulnerability feels oddly placed because by the time I got up there all the enemies in the room were dead. Also I don't really see the point behind the imps at the end of the level. I feel like they exist just to harass the player by shooting them from long ranges. My favorite aspect of the level would have to be the aesthetic. Your use of lighting or lack thereof is done rather well and greatly adds to the atmosphere. In general I can't wait to see what other work you put out in the future.

    Level design tropes you dislike

What bothers me is lack of consistency. After recently played through Plutonia and noticed on some levels green goo floors will damage me while on other levels I wasn't damaged by the same looking floor. I understand that consistency can be a bit tougher to pursue on wads that were made by multiple people, however I believe that a certain amount of consistency should be pursued.

What Video Game Are You Currently Playing?

I've been playing through Thief 2 lately. I went in expecting Thief 2 to better than Thief 1 but I find myself missing the diversity added by the supernatural levels, which funnily enough is what all the posts and the LGR video complain about in Thief Gold. The mission I'm currently on is Kidnap which is just a recreation of Lost City from Thief Gold. The level highlights my main issues with Thief 2 which is all the electric lights just placed all over the map. I'll try to get through the rest of the game because I love the gameplay but I don't see myself replaying this anytime soon.
