  1. It's always fascinating to hear John Romero talk about Doom's development and the levels he made, but I would love to see a Doom Devs Play done with Sandy Petersen for episodes 2 and 3, or an in-depth playthrough of the alphas with Tom Hall.

      Same. I feel like very little is known of Sandy's design ethos; a lot of it seems random or by chance, but I'd like to think some of the clever stuff he did in his maps was by design.

      If you've ever read scarydarkfast, it's confirmed that the layout of E3M4 was intentionally based on human guts among a few other things I can't remember. Also, I believe it mentions Sandy Petersen being colorblind somewhere in there.
