    map making

    So i really want to get into map making good maps but due to being uncreative I just dont know what to do I sit down and then think what do i do I mean i could make potentially anything but nothing comes to mind I have asked before and some people said that they sketch something out before they get to making it but then i find its the same problem you know what do i make? did any of you guys have this problem and if you did what did you do to get around it as for me I might sometimes literally take like 30 mins to think of the room connected to the starting room and what will go in it. thanks

    thanks lol think my brains about to explode. so at the if statement why is there 3 parts to it the last part i get is so it can be repeated the first if statement doesnt make much sense as to me im getting that its going to reset the counter to zero but if the counter is already set to zero at the beggining of the script why does it need to be changed and on the else statement or the second part of this it seems to me that this can only run if the player didnt jump already. if you get what im saying and as well as this I see you press jump once to start the script but what makes jump run the player thrust part

    ok so i was thinking how would i go about making a double jump as I cant seem to find very much about this im thinking that I could make a script where if the player isnt touching the floor and if he/she presses the jump button a second jump he will jump a second time but Im not sure how to do this as if its a script it wouldnt having nothing to trigger it (at least that i know of) and as well as this I dont know any commands which make the player walk,jump,shoot etc. thanks again guys

    ok so im geting that the script will only do something when something happens that makes all 3 sw's = 0 my final question is how would this make a door requiring the use of 3 switches as its not linked to anything on map? thanks youve been some good help

    ok i see what ur saying like when it says sw1 it looks for sw1 tag if its not zero but what im saying is how does it know what sw1 is i mean there could be 5 switches how does it know which one is sw1?

    I see. what i dont get is that yes its the bullet cases I thought that as well but how is it a custom missile/projectile when they shoot forward and the bullet cases fall on the floor? thanks for the replies by the way guys

    Should I play classic wads without the aid of mods?

    hello m8 so to your question i would say in my opinion that i prefer to play wads the way they was orignally meant to be played as sometimes the gameplay mods can make it "different" I think depending on what gameplay mod you add it changes the game I mean some gameplay wads will make doom feel like call of duty which isnt neccaserily a bad thing however i like doom to stay the way it is and have the doom feeling also I see you said you like sunlust good luck thats a hard one. I would recomend the following: -sunder , good visuals and good gameplay -thunderpeak , very fun but only 2 levels oh and for some laughs try the extreme weapon pack (its a joke wad) you will know when you find it (and is a good joke wad,no spoilers)
