    Ok, the concept makes since but I've never made a wad file before at all so this will be new. So I basically need to make an actor for the max amount of ammo for each ammo type being bullets, shells, rockets and cells right? I'll take a look at this and work on it this weekend.     First let me start off by saying I appreciate the help, I do so I don't want to come off as ungrateful. I'm not good at all at modding doom. All I'm ok at is editing files, and very simple basic edits mind you. I wouldn't know how to create a mod for it. second, since I'm bad at modding doom or understanding it, I'm not sure I understand what you mean. but will this increase the amount of ammo the weapons can hold? So since I may be misunderstanding you, I will try to explain what I want to do. All I want to do is increase the amount of ammo you can carry. With and without the backpack. I'm not sure which file I need to edit to do this.
  4. I wanted to give the weapons the same ammo count as they would in the original doom (shotgun 50/100, bullets 200/400...etc) I've used slade to open up the file but I'm not sure where to change these values.
  5. when you pick up the plasma_gun upgrade in slot 6, you cannot change weapons anymore. This would not be an issue playing on PC because just hit another key bind but when I'm playing on Delta Touch (doom touch) I have to use a controller when playing on my nvidia SHIELD TV or tablet, so I need to be able to switch weapon using the previous/next weapon binds. Is there a way I can open up the mod in slade and fix this issue? edit: It seems this issue was fixed in 1-21-18, please ignore
  6. Hey I'm looking for the green armor shard .png file within the .pk3 file of the test build for project brutality 3.0 and I cannot find it anywhere. I wanted to use the file for PB 2.0. I found the health bonus item and the helmet .png files but I cannot find this one. Could you tell me what folder I should be looking in? I'm using slade. Can anyone help me out with this?

    thanks. I'm familiar with those but they also change the layout of the maps as well. Do total conversions always change the layout of the map? I was just looking for wads that just change the look

    Is there any place I can go to find wads that changes the textures for doom and doom II? I found one cool one that changes all the textures to hexen textures. Anything else out there like that?
  9. I'm trying to replace the assault rifle sound with a different one. When I replace the sound file, it changes but the sound if muffed. but if I use the new sound with a different file, like the pistol file, the sound works fine and sounds normal. please close, I figured it out

    big door 2 and 3 were not loading up correctly. I'm assuming because the wad was made for doom 2 and im using it for doom 1??? or maybe because I'm using brutal doom? Not sure but I just replaced them for one of the textures that I know worked properly. I can make a video for you when I get home if that would help.

    holy crap I think I got it. the guy already had working textures in the wad some of them were just not compatible. Man this is friggin awesome. I just had to replace the non compatible textures with ones that are. thanks man

    I've looked through the wad. I selected the option named "TEXTURE1" and there is a menu that has a button that says "edit textures" Am I in the correct place? I apologize if I'm asking a lot of questions. But when I look at all of the door textures, I don't really see or understand why the textures in the game are blank because it seems like for every texture, there is a graphic there. Maybe they're not showing up correctly in the game? I dunno. Because I don't know which ones I am supposed to change. Maybe because the texture wad is for DOOM 2?     thanks. Yeah I'd rather just replace them with the Hexen door textures. How difficult is this to achieve? I've only ever edited music wad files? Also some of the hexen door textures are in the game, like the 2nd door in e1m1 before you get to the exit door is a hexen door texture. Can I just copy those textures and put them on the doors that are just blank? really weird that the guy just left these doors blank.

    Is there a way to add textures or modify textures to an existing mod using slade? Someone created an incredible mod that changed all of doom/doom II textures to Hexen textures but all of the doors are just jet black. I wanted to know if i could put the original doors back in or put hexen doors back in. At least in M1E1 he has 1 hexen door which is the last door before the exit door (which is also not black) but the first door is jet black with no texture on it and the rest of the doors in the game are jet black, no textures either. I just want to change them because it's odd
