You can't just shoot a hole into the surface of mars.... Doom Slayer: "How bout I do, anyway?" To be honest to me that level and arc complex are probably the highlight of the whole game.

That's kinda hard since I like all of em for different reasons, if you put a gun to my head and made me choose I'd probably go Doom 2016 since that turned me into a big fan of the series as opposed to before where I enjoyed the first game and was kinda excited for the reboot, it also gave the series the biggest breath of popularity it's had since the 90s

I find myself melee-ing enemies cause I either don't realize the Blood Punch hasn't charged yet, or I'm used to Doom 2016 where the Melee could get a Zombie to stagger in one hit Also I don't mind the platforming/wall climbing sections at all the swimming sections though....

There are a few story things I'd like to see probably Main two being: A mission set during the time of The Night Sentinels and a mission set right after Doom 2016 explaining how the Slayer got back out of hell and found the Fortress of Doom.

Been working on this for a few days, I've had a few attempts at "first map" before but this one I feel kind of proud of so far :) hitting some mappers block atm though so will hopefully get out of that soon. Looking forward to finishing and uploading it! -
Hi, I've been a fan of Doom and the modding scene for some years and I've had attempts at making a first map at quite a few occasions. However I always end up stopping due to fear of not making something exactly good or just having no idea where the map should go next or what objects or enemies to add, etc. Any tips on how to make a first map without getting carried a way with such worries or feeling so creatively blocked?

I'd have to go with the cyberdemon, when I first played doom a few years ago, he kicked my ass so hard, he left more of a firm impression in my mind than any other monster, also nothing produces an "oh sh!t" reaction quite like seeing him pop up in a map

How to make a switch raise a ceiling in UDMF format

1: an enemy not having much space to move around so when it sees you, it moves around and fidgets until it finds JUUUUST the right spot to start attacking. 2: the room in Tricks and Traps with the Cyberdemon and the army of Barons, watching the Cyberdemon try to kill me but inadvertenly piss off the horde as I just stare and watch.
