  2. I need help - how to prevent sky1, sky2 and sky3 from getting removed while I remove unused patches from pwad?Skyboxes are 1024x240, but I think boom compatible ports should read them without any problems. They all are in texture1 and pnames lumps too.

    Nobody asks if author asked permission to use some valiant resources like hud and some gun sprites like chaingun. Also, I played first map and in the first screenshot those objects makes movement difficult. If you remove them, it will make movement easier.

  11. It's not properly textured and filled with gameplay elements yet, but I like how this got shaped. This is longest and most painful map (in creative way) I'm working on right now.

    Both gifs are from personal project. Light effects, moving textures are my weak spot. I'm aware that pink firelava isn't properly animated.

  14. Thank you for your good words, mappers tried their best with given themes ;) It's nice to see that hard way learned lessons slowly pays off. Mapping for boom isn't that hard, I quickly got used before started lean into speedmapping waters. Format is wider than vanilla, you can use conveyor belts to execute multiply actions, also there are generalised linedef actions too.

    Well, as person who started mapping with slade, I really recommend to try those mapping programs, because slade as mapping tool is quite limited. Otherwise, you need draw additional linedefs around mentioned lines and sectors. Also, maybe post map plan to see how much you done?

    You better use gzdoom builder bugfix or doom builder x programs for mapping(as they have node builders integrated and other benefits) and leave slade as texture, midi and other things import/fix tool.

    @Aquila Chrysaetos hey, look, blue sample was perfect for these two sky recolours: Well, here, I'm leaving this custom palette as contribution to this thread. Feel free use it, tweak it and change colours. It replaces blue and green ranges. I generated this randomly as example for one person. Zip contains main palette and colormap. Don't forget about credits ;) custom palette.zip
