I think the only relevant line here is next = endgame so just make a MAPINFO lump and put something like map map03 "your map name" { next = endgame } there. Also I think this thread should be in Editing Questions rather than Tutorials.

Short, if a bit tricky, map with nothing but neon skyscrapers, transparent platforms and setpiece fights. Doom 2 map01, naturally. Format: Boom+ Tested in: PrBoom+, GZDoom and Eternity. NOT recommended: ZDoom 2.8.1 (sprites disappear, I don't know how to fix this) Build time: ~30 hours Difficulties: Yes 3030.zip

@skillsaw @Aurelius Yes, the purple area is usually the hardest for me on UV and maybe lazily ticking off a few barons for HMP (like I did) barely makes it any easier. @Egg Boy Fixed. Thank you.

@MemfisNo, should still be pretty fun. To play with normal monsters just delete the Dehacked lump. -

So I never cared much for Eternity, portals or any features beyond Boom until one day I randomly came across a test map which showcased portals. I opened it in the editor, thought, "Well, that's not too difficult, what if..." One thing led to another, and several months later: This is a single map for the latest (4.00.00) version of Eternity. Gameplay: Single player. Build time: 100 hours. Difficulty settings: Yes. Freelook: Not needed, but allowed. Credits: skillsaw and the authors of aa-tex.wad; stewboy for the midi. Issues: Possible performance drops. Sorry. Downloads: Mothership Eternity v 4.00.00 (You don't need aa-tex to play this)

@StormCatcher.77 Cool, thanks for the review. Well, the pedestal is at the very center of the map, with switches on all sides, so I figured the player would spot it at some point. I'll highlight the switches a bit more. @Spectre01 The central area lags for me too. I only have a 5-year-old laptop though.

Huh, but that's the best midi ever. I've always wanted to make a map worthy of it. Yeah, it's at the upper limit of what I personally can handle.

No problem at all. No, I made a couple 3-5 map mini-episodes before (Tyrant and Charybdis). Those aren't really flashy or ambitious.

Yep. And there's also Khorus's WIP project for Strife with the same name... But I don't think all these wads will get confused with one another, they're all different. There are a couple more Eternity exclusives out there. Vaporware is a must play for sure.

@Tango Dude, you made the best map in BTSX E1, you really don't need to doubt yourself. And Mayan Mishap is awesome and distinct from everything else. -
Two polyobjects and a sector portal. And line portals on those polyobjects to make a more complex shape. And scripting for the movement itself. It's an Eternity map, I hope to release it in January.

I'd call it Demons.wad, but some wads like CRUSADES.WAD or MORDETH.WAD look cool and dominating in all caps.

I heard of a guy who took a year off to make a huge mod for Skyrim as a job application to Bethesda. Well, Bethesda didn't hire him, but Bungie did and he still works there, I think.
