  1. I'm posting this here rather than in the Doom 3 forum since it seems like they get a ton of this there. There's been a number of different minimum requirements mentioned for a PC to beable to run Doom 3, so I though I'd just post here and have everyone look at my Desktop specs and see if I'm going to beable to run it.

    Base Processor & Speed
    Celeron 2.0 GHz

    400 MHz Front side
    Socket mPGA478

    Memory

    Component/Attributes

    RAM (installed) - 256 / 2100 DDR
Allocated to Video - Up to 64MB

    Maximum allowed
1 GB (requires replacement of the installed 256 DIMM)

    Speed supported - PC2100 / PC1600

    Type - DDR SDRAM

    DIMM slots - Two

    Open slots - One

    Hard drive

    60GB Ultra DMA

    Video graphics

Integrated Intel Extreme Graphics with up to 64MB shared memory

    Expansion slots (total)
    Slot type/ Quantity

    PCI - Three (two open)

    DIMM - Two (one open)

If I need something just point it out and tell me. I'm not gonna say "boohoo I'm poor I can't get this or that," I'd prefer just to know incase by some chance I could get what I need. Thanks :)

I already told you, you need a new video card. At least a Radeon 8500 or GeForce 4.

Oh, sorry. I wasn't really sure who that was directed towards. Thanks :)

      2. You need 3 DIMM slots to play Doom3. The game will crash unless you have exactly 3. Hence the "3" in the name.
