    @StormCatcher.77 Thanks for the feedback, it's much appreciated. I am glad you had a good time with the map. The zombiemen ontop the computer terminals were intentionally stuck there as a sort of trap (where you accidently soot the barrels, or they shoot the barrels). I didn't want them running off somewhere, however that may be a poor/cheap design choice on my end :p

    On another note, DOOM uses light blue as its invisible (non-render) colour. If you pull an existing sprite from DOOM and match that colour for the background of your sprites, everything will be transparent as well.

    I voted DOOM 2 just because it has more weapons and monsters, as well as PWADS. That being said, I think DOOM 1 had a more solid music track over 2 (2 was still great), and it was more challenging for sure! Hard decision to make haha. Both are great games!

    Doom 4 inspired maps

    I attempted to replicate the play-style on a few maps I made (have to constantly run and serptine), and tried to use red/black colour schemes. However I am not sure it's upto your standard or not haha. If you're interested check out map 7 & 10 of my WAD.     Mapping Tips

    One thing I started doing was have a set of defined room shapes, which mesh together interchangably with other shapes of rooms. I would say architechture can make your map pop out as to having none, but you don't need to go crazy with it neccesarily. There are no such thing as straight edges in nature, so anything to break-up a generic box room along walls would do wonders. Beams in corners, door frames, floor & ceiling height differences ect.

    Noob Question: Monsters seem to be passive on my wad

    My best answer (assuming your mapping for DOOM 2) is: - make sure your map configuration is set to DOOM 2 -make sure your using DOOM2.WAD as your resource package You can change your map configuration via "Map Options" from the Edit tab, and change your resources via "Game Configuration" via the Tools tab. I am guessing since you are using GZDoom that is the main issue....I personally have no experience qith GZDoom, however if you try what I suggested above and things happen to work, then that would indicate a GZDoom related glitch, and you may be able to pinpoint the issue down. Not sure if that's any help haha Cheers

    I apologize in advance, however how should we name our maps? I currently just gave mine the label of MAP06. Will this give you (the person compiling the WAD) grief? I am just thinking of the possibility of a whack of us having the same map name, and then MAP INFO would have to be changed and maps renamed (that rymed!) Also for a 2nd question, where is the most ideal place to upload a single map for this project? Cheers

    [RELEASE] Hell Origins

    Hey guys & gals! I would like to finally introduce you to my first ever Doom WAD, designed for solo/co-op. This is compatible with ZDaemon and works in Doomseeker as well. This features 10 maps with custom music (doomdepot, guitarpro rips), and is 2 hours long in play time. I was aiming for a fun experience between friends, and also fun solo. There are lots of traps and multiple ways of doing things in most maps. If you just want to shoot something, than this will be good stress relief, as well as being a challenge. Theme: The Germans have been practicing experiments and have found an alternative energy source that is infinite! No more need for oil, gas and electricity. This however has led to a rift between Hell and Earth, where the energy appears to come from, and Earth is slowly consumed by the Devil himself. You must stop him. Levels: 1-Enter The Doom Marine 2-Earth Research Labs 3-Overgrown & Overrun 4-Rotten Core 5-Fallen Keep 6-Root of The Problem 7-Energy Harnessing Facility 8-Awoken Terror 9-Dispeace 10-Revelation Feedback is much appreciated, and I hope that everyone that tries this out will have a good time.     That architecture is beaming! ;) I like the vibe of that screenshot. I dig that red radiating light on the ceiling. The Red + Dark greys (or if it's brown I apologize) work real well together! The textures mesh real well too! I'd be interested in seeing the final product!
