    PSX DOOM CE Fall Of Triton Edition

    @Eduapy Yep I am currently working on Fall of Triton II. Still a very early WIP. I am hoping to release an actual trailer/gameplay within the first half of 2022. But for now here are a couple more pics ( ;
  9. Sorry I don't think you can remove the Grenade Launcher without breaking a few levels. I am in the process of updating PDR to V1.1. I will try and update the name to "Grenade Launcher" in that update.

    Best PSX Doom wads in 2021?

    There is never enough PSX inspired levels. The maps you mentioned plus the innocence X series is pretty much it. There are a couple of other standalone levels that have PSX sounds and music and that is it. Thanks for the kind words on Fall of Triton. Yes there probably is a slight issue with the ammo, something I have noted for the next project. I have been planning the sequel. The levels will be similar to Threshold of Pain, not able to work on actual PS1 but should still have the PSX & Doom 64 atmosphere.

  14. I cannot believe it has been over a year since I released Fall of Triton! Fall of Triton was far from perfect, but I am glad on what I did with it. Also the support and kind words were overwhelming. It was great to see all the PlayStation fans play and enjoy the map. And it is an honour to work on a project that you are passionate about. So to celebrate Fall of Tritons 1 year anniversary, here is a new set of PlayStation levels to play! What is The Vortex Catastrophe? TVC is a 12 level episode (11 normal maps, 1 secret) that take place directly after Fall of Triton. This time, Doomguy finds himself stranded on the Vortex. A space station built for the UAC to hide from the attack on Earth. Of course, everyone is dead.….. I created this episode straight after the release of Fall of Triton a year ago, the project was going to be part of a huge remake of Fall of Triton. The Fall of Triton idea got scrapped to work on new bigger projects, but I saved and improved this campaign. What does this campaign feature? - 12 brand new PlayStation maps - The heart-pounding soundtrack by Aubrey Hodges returns - PlayStation sounds and monsters return (with a few new twists) - The nightmare imp returns (This time, he is improved) - Final Doom SSG - New and improved PlayStation lighting (this time with Dynamic lights!) Story After slaying the masterminds in the dark tower, all hell goes quiet. Have you really won? A terrifying roar plagues the realm shaking the ground where you stand. You feel the rush of energy all around you. Something evil awakes! You laugh. You knew hell would not give up so easily. A strange electrical sound echoes through the tower ruins. A portal, but this one is different. It looks like it was built by humans. You step into the unknown.... Your theory was correct, the portal takes you to a UAC facility. The landscape of Factories,buildings and roads. It looks like some city , it almost looks like your back on Earth. Even you are fooled by the scenery. Are you really home? The look of relief turns to anger as you realise the terrifying reality. Your on Vortex! A huge spaceship built by the UAC five years ago. The ship was built for rich bastards who thought they could escape the invasion of Earth. It worked....for a while. The UAC workers knew their experiments were too risky without a backup plan. So they built the Vortex. Vortex is no ordinary ship, it was designed to simulate Earth....home. The UAC knew the Earth would crumble in the event of a catastrophe, so they built a knew one. Vortex was a success. Earth fell, but Vortex remained. But something went wrong...… Two years after the Earth invasions. The ship vanished mysteriously over night. It was the biggest catastrophe known since the demons invaded Earth nearly wiping out the human race. Over thirty thousand people were on that ship. The UAC were never able to recover from this. Only the Triton base remained...until their thirst for power destroyed Triton as well.You notice the bodies all around the floor and grows coming from inside the base, I guess you know what happened to Vortex! You clench your first in anger, not because everyone is dead, because you didn't get to kill them yourself... You know the UAC always have a trick up their sleeve. If something went wrong, they would have an escape plan. But first, it is time to find the unlucky demon in charge of the attack. Download: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/d5f5h2cag4h98/The_Vortex_Catastrophe Thanks for playing! Screenshots:
  15. It does. Part 1 (Levels 1-30) are in the finishing stage and we are very close to releasing it. Part 2 is also about 80% complete.
  16. After nearly 2 years of development! PSX DOOM Fall Of Triton is complete and available to play! Fall of Triton is a Doom 2 Megawad completely inspired by PSX DOOM. It has all of the psx doom features and a brief story. What does Fall Of Triton feature? - 40 Maps to play (30 normal levels 1-30, The two usual secrets maps 31,32 + 8 bonus maps hidden across the campaign, bonus 01-08) - PSX DOOM Montsers - PSX Sounds and Music - PSX DOOM lighting and Atmosphere - PSX DOOM HUD and Graphics - The Nightmare Imp - New Music from other horror games - Levels inspired by: Threshold of Pain, Limbo, Crater, Spawning Vats + So Much More - And a few extra surprises How do the Bonus levels work? Extra bonus maps are hidden throughout the main game. Except for the usual map 15 secret maps, there are an extra 4 hidden secret exits. If you manage to find one of the secret exits, you will play two bonus maps before going back to the next level in the campaign. (E.g. finding a secret exit on map 06 will lead you to bonus 03 then bonus 04 and after you beat them two levels, you go to map 07 back in the main campaign) . Difficulty settings I thought I better go over the difficulty settings: - I am a wimp/Hey not too rough:This difficulty has plenty of ammo and a lot easier fights. I only recommend playing this difficulty if your not great at doom. - Hurt me Plenty: Ammo starts of high but can get quite low in later levels if you play to recklessly. The final levels can get very tough if not careful. - Ultra violence: Ammo starts off very high, but gets critically low in the later levels, every shot counts. Also there are much harder fights involved. Only play this difficulty if you are good at conserving ammo or like the challenge. What inspired fall of triton? I am a huge fan of PSX DOOM. And after playing through my favorite Doom wad Threshold of pain (A huge inspiration for the wad!), I thought that there was just not enough PSX DOOM wads out there. So I decided to put into my own hands to design the megawad. I am deeply inspired by the original PSX DOOM and Final DOOM and many levels have similar design and features of some of the maps. What do I need to play Fall Of Triton? Just a new source port (preferably GZDOOM) and a copy of Doom 2. Fall Of Triton already has all of the PSX features converted to the wad so no TC is needed. DOWNLOAD LINK: https://www.mediafire.com/file/txz5w3au9mp5uro/FallOfTriton.rar My channel. (Going to play the whole wad!): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXF3COzL_fp7SMKswRFpdVQ I just want to say thanks for playing!

    Welcome To Hell..... Working on some Hell maps for PlayStation Doom Reloaded.
  18. @WORLD_3AT3R Unfortunately, I have not played your wad yet. But I definitely plan to! Thanks for the kind words! Usually when making maps., I try to build on the atmosphere as much as possible. Taking advantage of the sounds, music & lighting from PSX Doom. I recommend playing through the original PS1 Doom & Final Doom for inspiration. Also check out the Threshold of Pain series as those levels have awesome atmosphere.
  19. Yes, this project is still currently being worked on. We are getting closer to releasing the first part of the project.
