Who here on Doomworld has a cat? My cat croaked a few years back but I plan on getting another one, plus my daughter really wants one! So who here has a cool cat, BTW who has the fattest cat? Pic's would be cool to if you have them!
-
To keep it simple, when you delete the sector you do not delete the lines, they are on there own, you have to delete them under line mode. Otherwise the textures and the lines will stay.

I am getting another cat (my daughter is up my ass to get one so I said yes :P), heh, maybe when I'm really old (as in 70) (already going on 30 :P) I can also have my own cat mosh pit, but they would mosh to Gutted or Dying Fetus/death/black metal, maybe even Marduk or Dark Funeral!!! Not some bull shit... I will be an old metal head one of these days, I hope the younger generation keeps extreme metal alive! Back to the cat subject... @ alexz Thats a rare spell cats can cast on people... :P It called, umm, oh yeah, allergies!!! AHHH!!! CHOOO!!!

I see people walking around my neighborhood carrying a plastic bag full of dog shit and say to myself, thats fucking sick especially when you see them have to pick the shit up with the plastic bag on their hand, heh, I would just hold the fucker under the dogs butt rather than grab it... Ewww!!! Dogs suck....

Wow you are sure to point out flaws on peeps stuff. Lets see you do better... @ Dutch I say the top one dude, it has more of an aged look to it! The other one would look good in a new school tech base style level.
-
Yeah, umm, whats your project called? Its needs a cool name!
-
Beth, as a mapper, you should get some practice before you show off your work, do not get down on yourself, peeps are trying to help you out (or at least some of them) so keep it up, practice makes perfect. A lot of the mappers here and over on my other hangout :P Skulltag have been mapping for years. We have seen a shit load of projects come and go, work on your project and practice, I'm sure eventually you will come up with some really good stuff! BTW another thing to help you in the future would be to learn scripting.
-
Heh, looks really nice Dutch, if you really bust out 32 maps this will be one of the first mega-wads in a while that I have seen completed by just one person.

I was in a Death Metal band from 1998 to 2001 in Cleveland Ohio called Netherborn. Nuff said. BTW I play guitar.
-
Haha, or maybe just make the kids watch Black Metal videos! Then turn them loose on a rampage for candy..! Dealing with a kid on a sugar high is like dealing with a firework in a frying pan. Good luck... BTW since I'm posting, Happy Halloween to you peeps here on DW! And... What wad do you think would fit the Halloween spirit? I would pick Eternal Doom!

After reading through this thread I really am worried about the integrity of people these days. This makes me worried even more for my daughter and her kids if peeps keep up at this pace...

I have mapped for years, I think my first map was made on Virtual Arcade BBS in 1996. I have had plenty of local interviews and fan boys who liked my shit back when I ran my own Doom site called Team Hells Fury (And Team Sector X was before that). This is 2007, if you want to interview me play some of my work. It speaks for itself, it might not be the best but it speaks louder than words. As for Sig's interviews I thought they really brought the spirit back into mapping for the new peeps in the doom community! Good job! BTW I was wondering Sig if you have any future plans for maps and stuff? This community needs more peeps like you. I love when people have projects/events going, even if they never get finished, they still are something to play/check out!

By his pointless posts I would not doubt it. :P I was wondering if any one has heard anything about a real Quake/Doom marine costume, I'm sure some one has to make one!? My searches have not really turned up anything worth the time to check out... :/ I geuss if worst comes to worst, I will try and make my own. My daughter thinks this idea would be coo.
-
Ok, if you look through the archives of wads, there are plenty of maps with a very strong quake feel. Check them out and take some pointers from them. You have a good idea its just very alpha at the moment, take some time and learn, never hurry on a map or these sharks here will tear you apart.
-
Is there a really good web site for kick ass costumes? I looked around a bit but didnt see anything spectacular. I want Doom, Terminator, Saw, Aliens, ect, some really sick shit! Any one have any good sites/stores they know for very realistic costumes/makeup??? You and my friends always have a bag of these by there pc desk, I used to laugh at this. They are the pc gamers munchies! :P I should take pics of this.

Why do we call the supercharge, soul sphere?
Stealthy Ivan replied to Vegeta's topic in Doom General
What did you think the first time you played doom, and you ran across one of the soul spheres of invis. sphere? I had never read the hand book so I was not sure what it was and I tried to shoot it. :P I avoided it till I found out what it did. Haha, stupid me. -
make sure your teleport line is not too close to a wall/thing, if it is the demons will not be able to cross it and will not teleport.
-
I'm taking my daughter out tricker treating, I'm not sure what she is going as yet, I might go and dress up as the doom marine again using my paintball gear! :) Yeah... Or people with families. You need to chill out some times dude.
-
So far your maps are nowhere near quake so what ever detail you are talking about to has yet to show itself.... If you want quake detail you better start busting your ass... :P
-
New mappers are always welcome here, and constructive criticism can be a bit harsh at times. These people here at DW are a really good knowledge base and will help you advance as a mapper. The advise is take it or leave it so work at your own pace and do not give up!
-
I used to use it, it was way better then "heh" REGMED ever could hope to be, I was just laughing at the old editors we used to use compared to new school ones, thats all. A trip down memory lane. :) But this trip seemed to have started a fire which might be really cool! Bring DETH back to LIFE! Ah hahaha! Its Alive!
-
My opinion is, as the years went on editors changed and went through advancements, so did I as a mapper. I kept finding new editors and trying them, each one having a cool feature, well as time went on DB became the new guy on the block and I gave it a shot. After mapping with it for a while now I have began to grow attached and now depend on it in a way! I still have a great respect for all the founding father editors though, you have to give them props!!!
-
Very very large rooms, whats with that? It also could use a bit more detail, other than that, the theme is cool!
-
There is nothing you can use from it to help out DB? I'm a DB fan but grew up on these old school editors, each one has its very own unique properties, but together they would be awesome! There has to be a way to make this happen. Think people, It would be the god of all Doom editors if we could take the best property from each editor and combine it into one (with permissions of course)!
-
Yeah, thats a good idea, send them ton's of fan mail and other jargen, then they might catch on! :P With out fans there would be no games, we have the say here people, we keep them in business...
